Any minute now the royal baby could be born! And after spending the week at her parents’ house, the Duchess of Cambridge returned to London to wait out her pregnancy.
Kate Middleton & Prince William Waiting Out Pregnancy In London
The Duchess returned to Kensington Palace in London on July 20 along with her husband, Prince William. Kate had spent the previous week in Bucklebury, where her parents live, but the couple returned so that they could be closer to St. Mary’s Hospital, according to People.
Kensington Palace is just two miles away from St. Mary’s. The move to get closer to the hospital suggests that Kate too knows that her baby could be coming at any moment.
Prince William is also taking every precaution. After playing charity polo matches hours away from London on July 13 and 14, the Duke of Cambridge has been using vacation days to take time off from his duties as a helicopter rescue pilot in North Wales, People reports. The Prince will reportedly also take parental leave once the baby is born.
Kate Middleton: When Will She Give Birth!?
But when will that be!? Despite earlier reports claiming that Kate’s due date was on July 13, that day has long come and gone, and a new report alleges that the hospital had always been prepared for Kate to go into labor around July 19.
“Only a handful of people were told [the July 19 date],” a source told The Telegraph, ”because there are very few hospital staff who might be needed in the case of an emergency.”
Now that July 19 has also passed without the royal baby’s birth, the Great Kate Wait is heating up even more. Be ready, HollywoodLifers!
