Houston Kidnapping — Police Find People Held Captive For 10 Years
Police went to the home at around 8:30 a.m. on July 19 and found that the front door was nailed shut, News 92 FM reports.
Four of the people, who were held captive in a garage, are said to be men between the ages of 54 and 79. The others are women, who police characterized as suffering from mental illness. Sadly, one of the men was allegedly hospitalized.
Police said the men were being held against their will in a trash-infested “prison room” with no beds or chairs inside. (How cruel and disgusting.)
“One of [the men] seemed to think he was picked up off the street and brought here. In exchange for beer and cigarettess and a place to stay, he had to turn over his Social Security check,” Sgt. JW McCoy told ABC.
A suspect was reportedly arrested and is now in police custody. However, no charges have been filed yet.
