Lea reportedly controlled Cory in life and even death. She tried protecting him and now she’s allegedly taking over planning his memorial. Keep reading for all the details!
Lea Michele truly loved Cory Monteith. As his Glee co-star and offscreen girlfriend, Lea influenced Cory to enter rehab when he relapsed earlier this year. Sadly, the 31-year-old actor died from a mixture of heroin and alcohol in July 13, and now Lea’s reportedly taken the lead in planning his memorial. In life and even death, Lea’s main concern is taking care of Cory.
Lea Michele Planning Cory Monteith Memorial
After Cory died, Lea allegedly swooped in and immediately took over planning his memorial and other matters connected with his death, a source tells TMZ. They also claim that Cory’s mom is not involved at all in the planning — it’s all Lea.
“Lea always had Cory’s back and tried protecting him as much as she could, especially when it came to his substance abuse,” the source adds.
Lea Michele Tried Protecting Cory Monteith
Cory allegedly got banged around in Hollywood by “a zoo of piranhas,” but Lea protected him. While Lea had most things under control for Cory in the United States, when he went to Canada, all bets were off.
When the Glee star visited Vancouver, his former dealers preyed on him, and he was sadly sucked back into the world of drugs he had tried so desperately to leave behind.
Cory was found dead on July 13 at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel.
This is all truly heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lea and everyone affected by Cory’s death during this sad time.
