The wait is over! Just as we were closing in on the release date for One Direction’s new song, the track leaked early online on July 17! Is it their ‘Best Song Ever?’

One Direction has a way of releasing one catchy song after another, and their latest single is no exception. Although their newest track, “Best Song Ever,” was set to release on July 22, it leaked on the Internet on July 17, and we couldn’t be more excited!

One Direction: ‘Best Song Ever’ Leaks Early

The boys of 1D have been teasing “Best Song Ever” since they released the trailer for their 3D movie, This Is Us, in June.

One Direction fans worldwide couldn’t wait for the single to be released — and their excitement skyrocketed when the song was leaked online five days early!

1D has been promoting the official release of the song and video on their YouTube page with 30-second teasers showing snippets of the video shoot — and the hilarious alter-egos the boys take on in the video!

The boys will be releasing the single and video for “Best Song Ever” on their YouTube page on July 22, and radio stations will debut the song for the first time on July 19. But thanks to an early leak, fans can already find out if it really is the “Best Song Ever” before it’s officially released anywhere!

One Direction’s New Single: Is It The ‘Best Song Ever’?

Singling out any 1D song as the “Best Song Ever” is no easy task, but this one definitely has the hook and catchiness that a song with such a lofty title requires. It’s the perfect summer jam!

For those fans who are familiar with popular ’70s songs, the beginning of “Best Song Ever” sounds an awful lot like The Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” which gives the song a poppy ’70s and ’80s vibe — and we LOVE it!

“Best Song Ever” completely lives up to our 1D expectations and leaves us anxious to hear more new music from their upcoming album, Where We Are!

What do YOU think of “Best Song Ever,” HollywoodLifers? Is it worthy of its title?

Not fare just cause he is popular when he is most liked cause people think he is cute I like Liam cause his voice and Talent and him not getting a solo pisses me of and it should any TRUE directioner two!!!!!!!!! #GiveLiamASolo

I think there just trying to change the pattern.. If you haven’t noticed Liam starts most of their songs so they wanted to make it different :)

Take it from a different perspective. Liam started almost every song on Up All Night and still does start some songs on TMH. Louis never does start a song, and Niall starts a song on a bonus track. Niall has 1 starter and Louis has no starter if anything Liam has it good. Don’t get mad just because he doesn’t start one song and doesn’t have a solo. Think how Niall and Louis felt last album.

Louis does actually start one song. It’s “Change My Mind” on the tmh track

Baba O’Riley came out in 1971. It’s a 70s hard rock song. It’s not a poppy 80s tune.

1973 is when The Who’s rock opera Quadrophenia came out, and I accidentally got its release date confused with Who’s Next, which is the album Baba O’Riley is on. Both are excellent albums, though, and if you like the sound of Baba O’Riley you should check them out!
