The baby is on his or her own schedule, certainly not answerable to the Queen’s vacation convenience schedule. If the Queen wants to be around for the big event, I supose she’ll just have to be flexible. It’s not like she could not summon a fast plane or car at short notice to return from wherever she is…

Pippa is not a member of the roysl family and neither are the rest of her social climbing family.

I think the fact that Kate’s baby is overdue is great! I recall how poor Diana related in her biography with Andrew Morton that she was actually induced with William, because “I couldn’t stand the scrutiny any longer . . it felt like the whole nation was watching my stomach.” Kate, on the other hand, has the inner strength to tell the whole nation to sod off, she’ll have the baby on her own terms when it’s damn well ready and not a minute before. You go Kate!

Allow nature to take its’ course instead of inducing the pregnancy because the Queen is going on her annual holiday to Balmoral. Certainly the Queen should put off the date of her going to Balmoral for once. My goodness!!! Induced pregnancy is very painful to the mother and only should be done if distress sets in. I for one know this.

they usually don’t induce a pregnancy unless the baby is found to be in distress or the mothers blood pressure is elevated to dangerous levels. it’s actually common for a first born singleton to be late and the palace may have given a false date to give William & Kate some measure of privacy

What nonsense!

Unless there is a sign of distress in the baby’s condition, the child will be born when it is ready to be born. The Queen’s comment “I’m going on holiday” was a light hearted one made to a group of children. The Queen often makes short jaunts to other parts of the British Isles (e.g. the Sandringham Flower Show at the end of July) while officially on holiday at her Balmoral Estate.

No matter where The Queen is, the first phone call that Prince William makes after the birth will be to The Queen, second call to his Father and the third call to his in-laws. Then, the official announcement is posted outside Buckingham Palace.

Toronto, Ontario.

Absolutely! I think they’ve given us a “fooler” delivery date & wouldn’t be surprised if the baby has been planned to be delivered in local Buckleberry hospital all along. What’s wrong with “the royal renovators” that they couldn’t have had the apt. at Ken. Pal. ready on time? Chop, chop renovators!

Well not only that, but I read a few British newspapers that said Camilla told William, Catherine & Harry there is no room for them at Clarence House. How awful!!! Also read that the Queen offered them an apartment at Buckingham Palace but politely refused because it would cause angst with Charles. Why would it??? Being at the Middletons is better for William & Catherine esp. in this heat and Catherine has the safety and secure knowledge of her mother being there with her not to mention William, but I think he went back to the RAF in Wales. Hopefully he took some vacation time off to be with Catherine before she went into labor. It is a bit of a nervous time for first time mothers because they don’t know what to expect as far as labor and how long labor will be for them. Why can’t the queen take extra days in London and visit Catherine in hospital when she has her baby? Please let up on so much protocol!!

Prince William’s in-laws will be there in the delivery room, at least her mother & sister will be with William. Her father & brother will be in the small living room next door to the delivery room. Who knows..they may be in there too for all we know. The Middleton’s and William will be the first ones to know before the Queen.
