A meningitis outbreak threatens to snap the town’s already strained social bonds. Plus, Angie catches the attention of someone outside the bunker.

The people of Chester’s Mill fall into a state of panic on the July 15 episode of Under The Dome, as an outbreak of meningitis strikes their community. Meanwhile, Alice takes care of patients in the clinic. And Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) continues to search for answers about her husband’s disappearance.

‘Under The Dome’ Recap — A Meningitis Outbreak Causes A State Of Panic

While most of the town is getting treated in the clinic, Julia escapes and tries to follow a trail her husband left behind before he disappeared. However, the meningitis takes over her body and she collapses after arriving at the cabin, where Barbie (Mike Vogel) killed Peter.

Barbie saves her life and brings her back to the clinic, but when she awakens, she tells him to pack his bags and leave the house before she get there. She’s not quite sure what Barbie’s been up to, but she feels that she’s learned enough to know he’s not a trustworthy person.

Angie attacks Junior (Alexander Koch) when he turns his back to her. He gets the upper hand, throws her on the bed and tightens her chains. After he leaves her, a pipe bursts and the bunker begins filling with water. Angie screams in the open pipe, Big Jim (Dean Norris) hears her screams and comes to her rescue… or does he?

While Big Jim heads out on a mission with Barbie to find antibiotics for those infected with meningitis, Junior quarantines the clinic, using a shotgun handed to him by his dad. Sheriff Linda is impressed with how Junior handles the situation and invites him to join the police force.

Clearly, things are not going to get any better in Chester’s Mill.

The Meningitis Foundation of America (MFA), a national organization, would like the public & media to know that information is available regarding the diagnosis, treatment & prevention of meningitis. MFA was founded in 1997 by parents whose children were affected by meningitis. In addition to supporting vaccination & preventing meningitis, the MFA provides information to educate the public & medical professionals so that the early diagnosis, treatment &, most important, prevention of meningitis, will save lives. Meningitis is a dangerous & often times fatal inflammation of the brain &/or spinal cord that can leave survivors with serious life-long physical problems MFA would like to be considered as a news resource for the disease. For further information, visit the MFA website at www musa org.
