Following the tragic death of ‘Glee’ star Cory, rumors swirled as to what caused his death. Now his cousin Richard has spoken out to say ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover.’
Cory Monteith‘s untimely death on July 13 shocked everyone, and some fans suggested on Twitter that his death could be suspicious. Cory’s cousin Richard Monteith spoke about his death, and he touchingly called his cousin an “inspiration.” Read on for his sad words.

Richard wrote “Man… This world sucks right now… =[ Lay easy cuz … Lov yah … </3,” on his Facebook page, followed by “Not only was he family, he was an inspiration! Don’t judge a book by its cover nor the last chapter … But the beautiful story between.”
He also said: “Smoking = Troop Status , Drinking = Sailor Status….. , Me =. </3 =[ #ripcorymonteith”
Cory’s death is truly tragic, and more details will be revealed following his autopsy on July 15. Alcohol and substances were reportedly found in his hotel room; leading some to speculate that drugs may have played a part in his untimely death.
Cory Monteith: Cousin Tearfully Lays Flowers At Memorial At Vancouver Hotel
Cory, 31, was in Vancouver visiting friends the weekend he died. Richard tearfully laid flowers outside the Vancouver hotel where Cory was found.
His cousin looked absolutely grief-stricken as he paused before the growing memorial outside the hotel.
