It’s time for hometown dates! Desiree gets serenaded in Texas, drinks white wine in Arizona, plays baseball in Washington and finally goes canoeing in Utah. Plus, Des gets her bum felt by Chris’ dad.
Desiree Hartsock visited the hometowns of her final four guys on the July 15 episode of The Bachelorette, and there were tears, make outs and the return of Des’s famous brother Nate. Des bonded with Brooks‘ mom, got felt up by Chris‘ dad, got serenaded by Zak‘s family and made memories with Drew. After flying across the country, Des had to make a seriously hard decision and send one guy home.
In Texas, Des bonds with Zak’s hot sister and learns more about his youth.
Zak’s whole family sing a song for Desiree, and she chokes up. I thought she was crying because it was so cheesy, but she said it touched her heart. OK…
Zak shows Des his grandmother’s ring and he tells her he loves her, and now I really want him to win because it’s so adorable.
When Des meets Drew wearing a sexy pink shirt, all I can think of is that line from Clueless, when Murray calls Christian a “disco dancing, Oscar Wilde reading cake boy.” Drew and Des have a picnic, before he and his pink shirt take her to meet his family, including his adorable disabled sister.
Drew shows his horrendous driving skills when they travel to meet his extended family, and there are a lot of nervous smiles from Des who clearly cannot remember any names.
Drew has a heart to heart with his mom, where he calls Des his “soulmate,” while she harps on to his dad about his eyes. Well, they are pretty dreamy. Des decides she wants to part of Drew’s family, which would be a huge mistake because he clearly doesn’t like her that way.
Chris, the most handsome man in the world, takes Des to play baseball in his park, and she calls him a “catch” and those are the truest words she has even spoken. They wear matching costumes, Des gives him a piggy back, and then she gives him a really bad drawing she made for him, which is total slap in the face to Zak.
Des then gets a massage from Chris’ dad, who totally feels up her butt. And then he cleans out Chris’ nose with a syringe, and suddenly he is not one bit little bit handsome. She has an emotional chat with his mom, and I think Des has got to pick him, because he is amazing. And he is only the guy I can confidently say is straight.
Des and Brooks go canoeing in Salt Lake City, and when they nearly fell into the lake, it was just like a scene from a romantic comedy! Des met Brooks’ ENORMOUS family — like so enormous they all wore name badges — and she seriously bonded with his mom.
In fact, Brooks mom spoke about how she could clearly see the love between them, and I feel more sure than ever that Brooks will come out as the winner. I mean Des even said she loved him last week!
Return Of Nate Hartsock
Des’ crazy brother is back! The man who terrified Sean Lowe can called him a playboy returned to give Des love advice. Seriously? When he is lurking behind the pillar before the rose ceremony, I seriously want to laugh. Creepy brother aside, Des spends her time staring at pictures of the boys.
Elimination At The Rose Ceremony
Chris and Brooks get the first roses, and things get seriously tense, before Zak is eliminated. Thank god he has the dulcet tones of Chris Harrison to soothe him.
Zak takes his elimination like the gentleman he is, and Des breaks his heart by giving back his grandmother’s ring. Yikes. I really think Des made a bad choice here — Zak is a cool dude and Drew is clearly a confirmed bachelor.
Makeout Count: #4
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Was Des right to send home Zak? Or should it have been Drew?
