LC traded in her denim capris for Chanel bags as she moved from Laguna Beach to the Hollywood Hills — and you can check out her fashion transformation right here!
I couldn’t be more excited that on August 9 we’ll get to see the The Hills alternate ending — and let’s get serious, we wouldn’t have ever been able to watch the drama unfold in Hollywood if it hadn’t been for Laguna Beach darling Lauren Conrad. Although when we first met her she was merely a high school student pining after Stephen Colletti, she quickly traded in her jeans and bonfire bashes for designer dresses and Fashion Week — and we’re taking a look back at how her fashion evolved throughout the years!
Lauren Conrad’s Style Evolution:
LC always had a flair for fashion and she quickly embraced the hottest trends of the moment — even if they might not look so hot now. Even though we’re sure there’s some outfits she wouldn’t ever wear again, (we’re thinking she definitely decided to retire her denim capris), we appreciate the way she embraced all of the hottest looks of the moment. (Hey, we’ve all been there.)
Lauren Conrad ‘Laguna Beach’ To ‘The Hills’:
Her ‘dressed up’ Laguna style was really defined by denim. Whether it was a pair of flared jeans and a silk halter or capris and a slew of accessories, she really stayed true to this staple. As she made the transition to the Hollywood Hills, Lauren embraced lower necklines, sequins, and bodycon frocks — all which were perfect for her party days at Le Deux. It was her Hills wardrobe that really had us lusting after her slew of designer duds — and her Chanel handbags. We would be lying if we said we didn’t secretly want to be sitting at a table in a bodycon dress, whispering after the bottle service waitress walked away and casting sideways glances at Jen Bunney, (and her new nose).
Lauren Conrad’s Style After Reality TV:
After she decided to retire from reality tv and really put her focus on her fashion career, her style became more relaxed — although the trendster was still rocking the most current looks of the season! This included shorts and separates, leather pants, feminine frocks, and even demure gowns.
Lauren Conrad’s Ever-Changing Accessory — Her Arm Candy:
Lauren’s style isn’t the only transformation we noticed. As the star swapped one look for another, her main accessory, the man on her arm, also changed. Lauren swapped Stephen for Jason and was very public with their relationship, bringing him along to Fashion Week and even stealing kisses in the front row! When that romance fizzled, Lauren hit Hollywood hotspots like Le Duex, where she rocked her best party dresses and pumps while dating her co-star BFF Brody Jenner. Hey, even if it was drawn out for the sake of our entertainment we totally loved watching their relationship unfold. After really displaying her romance on the show, the star scaled back and decided to keep her love life private — and she also scaled back her style!
From her most causal looks to designer duds, Lauren’s style has always been trendy and rather polished — and that’s what makes her so relatable. In fact, looking at Lauren’s transformation actually reminds us how much our own sense of style has evolved.
