Naomi Watts literally transforms into Princess Diana in the international poster for ‘Diana.’

Naomi Watts, 44, becomes the late Princess of Wales in the international poster for the highly-anticipated biopic Diana. The poster is ultra glamorous and Naomi shines just like a royal should.

First Poster For ‘Diana’ Biopic

The poster comes a few weeks after the breathtaking trailer debut for Diana. The poster shows Naomi as Diana wearing a magnificent light blue dress, adorned with a regal necklace and earrings. She also has that gorgeous band on her ring finger — the same engagement ring Prince William gave to Kate Middleton in honor of his late mother!

The tagline stresses that we don’t know the whole story about the late Princess of Wales: “The legend is never the whole story.” What a teaser! We want to know more!

Here’s the official description of the biopic, from production company Ecosse Films:

Diana is a compelling portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales during the final two years of her life. It charts how finding true personal happiness allowed her to achieve her defining successes, as she evolved into a major international campaigner and humanitarian.

We think Naomi is the perfect choice to play the late Princess, and after watching the first trailer, we even foresee a possible Oscar nomination for her! We know she’ll be fantastic in Diana, which will be released later this year.

So HollywoodLifers, what do YOU think of the poster? Do you think Naomi makes a good Princess Diana? Are you excited to see the movie? Let us know!
