New clues, as well as new potential romances, arose on the July 9 episode of Twisted -- but still, no one knows who to trust! And just as Danny (Avan Jogia) is beginning to gain the trust of Lacey (Kylie Bunbury) and a couple of townspeople, his mom's trust in him is starting to waiver. Lacey & Regina Meet Again

Regina (Karynn Moore) made a surprise cameo this week! The episode opened with a dream sequence of Lacey’s, involving a peanut butter-indulging ghost of Regina, who had a lot to say in the small amount of time she and Lacey talked — including the fact that DANNY KILLED HER!

Regina called Danny’s hands “murderous” and told Lacey that he was the one who killed her, but who knows if that was just part of Lacey’s dream. Considering how irrelevant her comment seemed the rest of episode, it might have just been her subconscious  One thing that seems more certain, though, is that Lacey thinks Danny took Regina’s necklace, which makes it sound like she thinks Danny really is Regina’s killer.

Karen Thinks Danny Is A Sociopath

It looks like Momma Karen (Denise Richards) might not trust her beloved son as much as she once did. After finding the necklace in the cup holder of Danny’s dad’s chair last week, she’s finding Danny more likely as a suspect in Regina’s death. Not only that, she’s speculating that he really is a sociopath!

She went to a doctor to get some clarity this week, asking how she should be dealing with people calling her son a sociopath. But then, she went on to ask what makes someone a sociopath, to which the doctor gave her a response that seems to fit Danny just right. Time will tell whether she thinks her son is legitimately crazy.

Did Lacey Find Another Clue?

After Lacey’s dream conversation with Regina, it was killing her — no pun intended — to know where Regina got the necklace that once belonged to Danny’s deceased aunt. In going through a box of some of Regina’s old stuff with Regina’s mom, she worked up the courage to ask about the necklace, but her mom pretty much only new about as much as Lacey did.

The necklace might not have led to anymore clues, but the box of Regina’s stuff sure did! Lacey discovered an envelope addressed to Regina, dated just a couple of days before Regina was killed. Being the newly curious mystery solver she is, she decided to open the letter, finding money — lots of it! — and a note that said it was the “last installment.” Can you say suspicious?

One Big Love Triangle

In the midst of Fall Fest — the town’s biggest day of the year, according to the mayor — Jo (Maddie Hasson) told Danny she thinks it would be good for him to attend the festival and not act like he’s hiding from the hateful townspeople. But let’s be honest, she just wanted him to go as her date. She’s totally in love with Danny!

On the outside looking in was Jo’s best friend Rico (Ashton Moio), who’s totally in love with Jo. He had to sit back at Fall Fest and watch as Danny and Jo worked together to sell pi pies for the mathlete team and later share a slow dance — with interlocking fingers! — hopelessly gazing, clearly wishing he was in Danny’s place.

To make the triangle into more of a square, let’s throw in Lacey, who texted Danny immediately after he and Jo slow danced to meet her about something. That ‘something’ turned out to be the letter she discovered earlier in the episode, and Danny instantly saw it as a clue — one which needed to be brought to the police ASAP. Lacey disagreed, suggesting they investigate the letter themselves before getting the cops involved, which sparked a slight argument — one that turned into an intense make-out session!

That’s right, folks. Lacey and Danny revealed their true thoughts about each other and shared some pretty passionate lip-locking that might have been a long time coming in the years they’ve known each other.

The Necklace Is Gone!

While Danny was off making out with Lacey, Jo ran into Rico as Fall Fest wrapped up, and he angrily asked her why she trusts Danny so much. She told him she isn’t going to give up on someone she’s practically known since birth. He was clearly frustrated and decided to walk home. (Oh, that poor little lovestruck boy.)

On the walk home, Rico witnessed something that suddenly put him in the middle of the Regina murder case: He sees Karen go out to a pier in complete darkness, which sounds harmless, right? WRONG! Karen was on the pier for one purpose: to get rid of the mysterious red and gold necklace once and for all!

She may think now that the necklace is gone, suspicion of Danny killing Regina will also fade. But who knows, now that Rico witnessed her disposing of the necklace, she could suddenly be made into the new suspect!

With so many things to be resolved, we can’t wait for next week!
