‘Mission: Blacklist’ will now be helmed by Swedish filmmaker Jesper Ganslandt after Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire departed the project, HollywoodLife.com sister site Deadline reports.
Just like Robert Pattison replaced Kristen Stewart with new girlfriend Riley Keough, his new movie, Mission:Blacklist, replaced director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire with Jesper Ganslandt. There are certainly big changes all around in Rob’s life.
Robert Pattinson’s Mission: Blacklist — New Director Will Helm Movie
Jesper has been tapped to direct Rob, 27, in the military thriller. Following Jean-Stéphane’s departure, Jesper stepped in. He will make his English-language debut after directing three features — Blondie, The Ape, and Falkenberg Farewell — in Sweden, HollywoodLife.com sister site Deadline reports.
The new movie is based on the novel Mission: Black List #1 – The Inside Story Of The Search For Saddam Hussein – As Told By The Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture by Eric Maddox with Davin Seay, and tells the true story of military interrogator Maddox’s search for and capture of Saddam Hussein.
“This movie is a gripping, edge of your seat thriller,” says Ross M. Dinerstein, one of the film’s producers.
Robert Pattinson: Riley Keough Will Benefit From ‘Mission: Blacklist’
Rob will play Eric Maddox — a pretty intense military character — so he’ll likely have to get super buffed-up to be in tip-top shape. We bet Riley, 24, will love that, especially because their relationship is purely physical right now, a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
The film will begin production in September.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you happy with the switch? Are you looking forward to Mission: Blacklist?
