Stephenie Meyer’s first post-‘Twilight’ movie ‘The Host’ is now available on DVD/Blu-ray, bursting with extras to make you fall in love with it all over again.

As a movie, The Host was a breath of fresh air after spending more than four years stuck in the supernatural world of Twilight. While the main character Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) manages not to fall in love with vampires and befriend werewolves, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any shortage of a love story. And there’s even more to love on the DVD!

There are so many amazing special features on The Host DVD/Blu-ray, we don’t even know where to begin! The deleted scenes alone make the purchase worth it — we were shocked at some of the things they cut from the movie — but they’re nothing compared to the interviews with stars Saoirse, Max Irons, Jake Abel and author Stephenie Meyer.

Another highlight for us is the special Seeker PSA that puts you right into the world of The Host!

The audio commentary from Stephenie, director Andrew Niccol, and producer Nick Wechsler is really interesting too. Getting to hear exactly what the creators were thinking when making the The Host, as well as some background on casting choices, was fascinating.
