Shocking! Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s last day on ‘The View’ will be on Wednesday, July 10.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving ‘The View’ For ‘Fox & Friends’
Elisabeth, 36, will make the announcement on Wednesday’s show, as she sits alongside co-hosts Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sherri Shepherd one last time. She will also talk about her new gig, starting in mid-September, as a co-host on Fox & Friends.
Elisabeth will co-host FOX & Friends alongside Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade. She will replace Gretchen Carlson, who’s getting her own one-hour solo daytime show on the network.
“It was her decision [to make her exit in July],” a source tells Us Weekly of the conservative co-host.
Back in March, Elisabeth’s rumored departure was first revealed, however, Barbara Walters was quick to dismiss any talk of Elisabeth leaving.
UPDATE: Barbara released a statement to TMZ, saying, “We have had 10 wonderful years with Elisabeth, and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”

Then, during a June appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Sherri talked about the forthcoming changes on The View, hinting at Elisabeth’s departure.
“So many changes, I can’t believe it!” Sherri told Wendy Williams. “The two black women are left; usually, they kill us off in the beginning,” she added, referencing Barbara and Joy’s forthcoming departures. At the time, Elisabeth’s exit was not officially revealed, but Sherri’s statement all but confirmed the news.
Elisabeth joined the show in November 2003, after a guest-hosting stint following Lisa Ling‘s 2002 departure.
