Jenny is reportedly going to become a ‘permanent presenter’ on ‘The View’ by taking over for Joy! Do you think Jenny’s a good fit for the morning show?
Jenny McCarthy is about to spice things up at ABC’s The View! The 40-year-old comedian is reportedly “in talks” to join the show in August. She’s been a guest co-host on the show several times, and it appears her outspoken ways could earn her a permanent seat next to Whoppi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Sherri Shepherd.
Jenny McCarthy Joining ‘The View’
A source tells Us Weekly that producers are working on closing a deal with Jenny.
“She is in talks right now,” the source says. “The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny, she’s a good fit.”
She is currently the host of The Jenny McCarthy Show on VH1, but is “open” to switching networks. She also recently spoke about possibly joining the show, and more specifically, replacing Joy.
“I will be helping them while they’re looking,” she said. “But maybe, sometime in the future, I’ll be there.”
It’s exciting to see The View trying to change things up, but it will also be sad to see Joy leave. It’ll be interesting to see what happens and how she ends up jelling with the other opinionated cast members — specially since Elisabeth is such a strong woman on the show, and a fellow blonde to boot!
Do you think Jenny is a good fit for the show or should someone else join the cast? Sound off below and tell us what you think!
