Kate Middleton and Prince William will become parents within days to their much anticipated new baby son or daughter. But what’s extra exciting is that they will forever change the face of royal parenthood as the most hands-on royal parents ever!
Prince William & Kate Middleton Will Be Hands-On Parents
Prince William is as excited as any non-Royal father-to-be about the birth of his first baby. And no matter which sex the baby is, that baby will become THE heir to the throne — the first time in British history that a first-born daughter would become Queen, even if she later has a younger male sibling.
It’s not surprising because he’s such a down-to-earth young man, but Prince William will be the first future King who will change diapers, bathe his baby, and no doubt, sport a baby Bjorn carrier.
He reportedly wants to perform ALL these normal dad duties and NOT delegate the care of his children to an army of nannies.
Both he and Kate plan and want to be very hands-on parents, just like Kate’s parents and like Williams’ beloved late mother, Princess Diana.
Will & Kate Will Take After Princess Diana’s Parenting Style
“William and Harry were very, very fortunate with Diana as a mother because her ideas were so different to the previous generation,” explains Christopher Warick, the official biographer for Princess Margaret — Queen Elizabeth‘s sister.
Like Diana, Kate “won’t want her baby to be the subject of rules and protocol,” Warwick continued in an interview with Arabia MSN News.
Princess Diana broke royal tradition and breastfed her two boys- something that Kate is expected to do too- and also fed, bathed them, read them bedtime stories and tucked them into bed at night.
When they grew older, she walked her boys to school — which was a break in tradition too, since Royals had traditionally been taught in the palace. She took them to do normal kid activities: they went to the movies, theme parks and even to McDonalds.
She also showered William and Harry with lots of hugs and kisses and plenty of physical affection.
All of this was a HUGE change from the upbringing that Williams’ father, Prince Charles had. His mother handed her four chldren over to nannies, governesses and they were raised in a “nursery,” that she visited once or twice a day.
Prince William and Kate plan to take a completely opposite approach.
Will Has Proved To Be An Amazing Husband To Kate
In fact, they only plan to hire a part-time nanny to start, so they can fully delve into bonding with their new baby.
Let’s not forget that theirs was the first royal marriage of an heir-to-the-throne that was a total love match and that more than two years after their marriage, they are still completely, madly and affectionately in love.
They regularly show PDA despite historical royal protocol and when Kate suffered from intense morning sickness at the beginning of her pregnancy, William spent hours by her side in the hospital.
All this true and natural love will be showered on all the children they have.
William will easily earn the title of most hands-on dad and future King. His father was in the delivery room for his and Harry’s births, but never took the day-to-day active, loving approach that William plans to.
So while, William and Kate will be raising a future King or Queen, they will foremost be raising their own much-beloved son or daughter — aww!
As such, they’ll set a whole new example of Royal parenthood for future generations. Isn’t that great HollywoodLifers? Do you agree? Let me know!
