Brazilian Blowout

Summer is here, HollywoodLifers! But, unfortunately, that means frizzy hair is, too. If you want to get sleek and shiny hair like Jennifer Aniston, then we have a miracle treatment for you! We tried it ourselves and are thrilled with the results — keep reading to learn more!

The holy grail of shiny hair is Jennifer Aniston. It’s frizz free, uber shiny, and looks soft to the touch. And try as we might to get Jen’s look, the summer humidity was proving to be too much for our wavy, frizz-prone hair. So, when we were offered the opportunity to get a Brazilian Blowout that would eliminate our frizz from the professionals at Salon Ziba in New York City, we jumped at the chance. Find out our thoughts on the 90 minute process — and see if we got hair like Jen — below!

Brazilian Blowout Hair Treatment — More Info

The Brazilian Blow Out Treatment is a multi-step system of products infused with nutrients and polymers that makes hair super shiny and frizz-free for about ten to twelve weeks. It doesn’t change the structure of your hair, so curly haired ladies have no fear. The treatment just results in major shine and no frizz. Your hair will be straight after the first treatment, but after you wash your hair at home, you hair will revert back to its normal style — just with no frizz and plenty of extra shine.

The Process — We Tried It

I walked into Salon Ziba in New York City ready to be transformed. The staff seemed to sense my excitement and quickly took me to see the lovely Anna, who would be performing the treatment.

The first step of the treatment involves shampooing hair with the special Brazilian Blowout Anti-Residue Professional Shampoo, which clarifies hair and makes sure there’s no product buildup anywhere on the hair shaft.

After the shampoo, Ana sat me down and began to apply the Professional Brazilian Blowout Treatment to my hair. She divided the hair into sections and applied the treatment much like how you apply hair color. After all my strands were coated, she combed my hair through and started to blow-dry our hair as straight as possible to infuse the treatment.  Then, she flat ironed my hair inch section-by-section (warning: this takes a long time). The flatiron seals the Brazilian treatment into the hair shaft and creates frizz free shine.

After the flat iron– and the utter shock of never having seen my hair so straight and shiny ever – I was rushed back to the sink. My hair was then rinsed with water and then the Brazilian Blowout Masque was applied to my hair for a minute to further seal in the Brazilian treatment.

After this, Anna brought me back to the salon chair and gave me a blowout. I couldn’t believe how frizz-free my hair looked with just a blow dryer and a paddle brush (normally this combination results in a more Hermione Granger look). By the time my hair was completely dry, we couldn’t believe that my hair could ever be that shiny!

The Final Results

A few days later my hair was still super soft and shiny — with no frizz in sight! Even walking around Manhattan and taking hot underground trains everyday hasn’t put a dent in my new style. A friend told me that my hair reminded them of Jennifer’s, so I’m considering the blowout a huge success.

My hair is wavy, coarse, long, thick, and super frizzy. When I let my hair air dry, it turns into this awkward frizzy straight hair with wavy pieces but when it’s wet, it’s so wavy it’s almost curly. I hate blow drying my hair (because it takes an our and a half), so I usually just let it air dry overnight and straighten it in the morning. (let me note that my hair is so unruly that I also have to straighten my hair in order to curl it.)

So last night, I decided to use for the first time the Shielo Leave In Protector – and I didn’t blow dry it. I let it air dry throughout the night. It’s 6 am now, and though parts of my hair are still wet as usual, the parts of my hair that are dry look AMAZING. It looks like my wet hair, but dry. I’m usuing Shielo more for frizz control and the straightening benefit.

I had a brazilian blowout last week, does the blowout remove waves? Do I have dry my hair when I was it? The reason why I decide to do the blow out is to save time “don’t have to blow or dry my hair ” was and go” at this moment even after drying my hair it is still NOT straight looks like I never had a blow out and I only had two steps done. Washing my hair, the treatment sat with it in for 45min then slight blow and then flat iron done! Disappointed no difference still wavy and dull hair

I also tried it in my locale. Yes, it works but it IS an expensive treatment ($200). I found something else that works just as well at a tenth of the price — It’s a Ten shampoo with Keratin for $22.50. Yes, I tried it and it works just as well.

Beautiful hair. Brazilian Blowout is one way to achieve that straight look that many women dream of. Keratin treatment brings damaged hair back to life and makes it incredibly strong silky and shiny. It gets rid of frizz, gives it the moisture injection and improves the texture of the hair.

After my hair lost it’s natural glow when I dyed it blonde, I began looking for a hair oil to restore its healthy sheen. Not only does the Shielo Hair Oil have a wonderful smell, it made my hair silky soft and gave it a lustrous shine.

I tried many different hair conditioning products, only to be left disappointed. Many of the other hair oils I tried either did nothing for my hair, or left my hair incredibly greasy. Shielo’s Oil is the first conditioning treatment that has left my hair silky soft and shiny without weighing it down.
