Many celebs, including AnnaLynne McCord made sure to come out for the “Disrupting Slavery” charity event benefiting the Somaly Mam Foundation sponsored by Akvinta Vodka and Don Benito Tequila on Thursday, June 13th at 41 Ocean in Santa Monica, CA. Check out all the happenings!

What Happened During The Amazing “Disrupting Slavery” Charity Event!

During the event, some of the celebs were seen having different experiences throughout the night, here are some fun details that occurred.

Lisa Ling supported the charity with friends sans her hubby while laughing, smiling, applauding. She was in great spirits and was overheard saying that her new baby girl was “a complete angel” and the “light of her life”. She was very relaxed, mingled and drank water while noshing on light nibbles provided by 41 Ocean. She left around 8:45pm, as she said she had to “get home to the family”.

AnnaLynne McCord was all smiles as she helped host the event. She arrived with her sisters around 7:30pm, giggling and laughing with her friends, family, and Somaly Mam. She stated that she was (obviously) “a HUGE supporter” of the foundation and was “absolutely delighted and honored” to take part in the event. She helped raise thousands of dollars for the charity thru the means of a an auction, and was “very proud” with the overall turnout.

AnnaLynne and her sister Rachel laughed at each other for accidentally wearing the same pair of shoes – Rachel exclaimed that her shoes “had seen WAY more nightclubs than her sisters.”

Serinda Swan looked a bit upset that someone else at the event was wearing a red dress that was very similar to hers.

Beth Behrs welcomed all the guests and thanked them for attending the event and encouraging all of their (financial) support.

Rachel and Angel McCord fiddled with $100 dollar bills as they got ready for the auction, saying “Let’s do this!”

Lisa Ling arrived early and spoke with Somaly Mam for about 20 minutes showing her full support for the foundation.

Pia Toscano caught up and chatted with Cassie Scerbo, Serinda Swan, and Somaly Mam about the charity and how excited they were to all be there.

AnnaLynne confessed that she was running out of hair products as she was presented by a gift basket provided by Joico and was heard saying that she “loved the perks of her job”.

More About The Somaly Mam Foundation!

The Somaly Mam Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to ending modern slavery and empowering its survivors as part of the solution. Human trafficking, a multi-billion dollar industry, is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. With an estimated two million women and children sold into sexual slavery each year, it is a global crisis that must be stopped.

Co-founded by sex slavery survivor Somaly Mam, the Foundation works to eradicate sex slavery, liberate its victims, and empower survivors to create and sustain lives of dignity and as agents of next-generation change. The Foundation supports rescue operations, shelter services, and rehabilitation programs in Southeast Asia, where the trafficking of women and young girls is widespread.

The Somaly Mam Foundation also runs awareness and advocacy campaigns that shed light on the crime of human trafficking, spotlight its brave survivors as living examples of change, and engage the public, business sectors, and governments in the fight to abolish modern slavery. The Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the USA and is incorporated in Canada.
