‘Pretty Little Liars’ returns tonight, and executive producer Marlene King promises: ‘This is the season about answers!’
On the eve of Pretty Little Liars‘ fourth season premiere, the ABC Family drama’s cast and crew assembled at the Paley Center For Media in Hollywood to reveal behind-the-scenes secrets — and a little scoop about what’s coming up in Rosewood!
1. What Really Happened To Alison?
I know this might sound hard to believe, but it season four will finally answer one of the longest-running questions in Pretty Little Liars history!
“You will find out exactly what happened to Alison the night she went missing,” Marlene King revealed to the very stunned audience.
(Keep in mind: Marlene didn’t say we’ll learn how Alison died. Perhaps the textual predator is still alive, after all!)
2. Mona Plays The ‘A’ Game
Mona (Janel Parrish) appeared to side with the liars on the third season finale, and that alliance will still be going strong when we join the girls in season four. Executive producer Oliver Goldstick described Mona as an “adjunct PLL” this season, but the question remains: How long will her good-girl routine actually stick?
3. More ‘Spoby’ Love On The Way
Good news, ‘Spoby’ fans: You can expect lots of one-on-one scenes between Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) this season! Of course, you might be surprised to find out what happens to the fan-favorite couple when the camera stops rolling.
“When I try and kiss Troian, I laugh,” Keegan revealed. “You are just kissing for a long period of time.”
(Hey, we’re not complaining!)
4. Digging Up The Past
If you’re a fan of flashbacks on Pretty Little Liars — specifically, if you’re a fan of Aria’s (Lucy Hale) ridiculous pink hair — you’ll love this next spoiler. Marlene said the show’s producers “have talked about having an all-flashback episode!”
(And yes, I know the first Halloween special was technically an all-flashback episode, but don’t rain on my pArAde.)
HollywoodLifers, what do you make of these new reveals? Do you think Alison is still alive? Drop a comment with your best season four theories!
