On the June 3 episode of ‘The Bachelorette,’ Desiree began her budding rap career, she dressed up as a bride, and this season’s villain reared his ugly head. What a night!
Desiree Hartsock boys moved into the mansion at the beginning of this week’s episode of The Bachelorette, and within minutes tensions began to mount when Brooks got the first date card. As Des and Brooks drove away in her baby blue convertible, the other guys sighed and looked bitter, and already the bitchiness is beginning!
Brooks Gets The One On One Date
Desiree took Brooks to a bridal salon, where she tried on a wedding dress. Jeez, Des don’t scare the guy off too soon! Brooks looks handsome in a tux and Des looks pretty in a dress, and they decide to spend the day dressed as a bride and groom. Talk about cutting to the chase!
Des and her questionable driving skills then bring Brooks up to the Hollywood sign. Still dressed as a bride and groom, they enjoy a picnic and make out for a while to some seriously dramatic music. It’s a pretty awesome date to be fair!
Until Des gets lost in the ghetto! Brooks is a total fraidy cat, and it’s not attractive. However, there is a romantic dinner waiting for them on a private bridge. Wow, this date is elaborate. Brooks opens up about his difficult childhood and his parents divorce, and tears nearly start flowing… To make matters worse, Brooks then dad danced.
But his super unsexy vulnerability earns him a rose!
Desiree & The Boys Make A Rap Video
This is absolutely the best group date I have ever seen on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Desiree pulls out none other than Soulja Boy to rap with her boys to a song called “Right Reasons.”
The boys each attempt to rap a verse to win a solo, and oh god it’s so bad. The dancing is worse. The boys costume up like a bunch of strippers and begin to learn their lines, and the next ten minutes make Bachelor history.
Evil Ben — this season’s Tierra LiCausi — thinks he is the next Tupac, while Brandon nearly exposed his man parts in a super revealing outfit. Desiree really knows how to make these guys work!
For the group scene the guys show off some epic dance moves, while Desiree gets sexy in a bikini at the poolside.
Desiree’s Group Date With The Boys
While Zak W shows his non-stripper side by giving Desiree a diary, the other guys sit around discussing how to get alone time with Des, and some weird butterfly murder metaphors are thrown around. Evil Ben further manipulates Des and he manages to steal a kiss. Mikey T — who seems like a gent — calls Ben out for pulling a robbery and tells him he is fake, and of course Ben being fake pretends to be nice.
Brandon finally gets some alone time with Des, and once again he uses his sad family story to get some screen time. Snore! Des notes that he has “positive energy,” but I think he is a total drag.
Disgracefully, Evil Ben gets the only rose of the night.
Bryden Gets A One On One Date
Des and Bryden‘s date has the “potential to be life changing.” Really?
They buy snacks — totally life changing — and go to the beach — also life changing.
They fly a kite, they go picking oranges, they eat brie, and so far, it’s shaping up to be a good date. Des and her boy then go to a private spa for a date under a tree, and he tells her a sob story about nearly dying while he was in army. Why must these guys play the world’s saddest song — can’t they just tell normal stories?
Bryden’s sad, sad story wins him a rose however! And not just a rose, there is the first sexy hot tub moment of this season! After an endless awkward silence, Des actually has to ask Bryden to kiss her. Yikes.
Elimination At The Rose Ceremony
There is the usual petty male bickering at the party, and Michael G decides to woo Desiree by telling her… he has diabetes. Good lord. This is too funny — dramatic music swells as Michael describes the moment he found out he had the illness, and how it is such a big part of his life. He should be sent home just for that story.
The boys are bitter Betty’s because Ben stole away Desiree when he already has a rose, and they are plotting his downfall. Man that guy is a jerk. Michael calls him out, and Ben just smirks. Push him into the fountain Michael!
Some creep called Brian tells Des he was last dating someone several months ago, but I feel like he is lying… Chris Harrison finally makes an appearance to begin the rose ceremony, and eventually, Will, Robert and Nick are sent home. Goodbye, we hardly knew ye.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Did you like the rap video? Is Brooks the guy for Des? Is Ben a big, huge jerk?
