Clive Owen, star of the riveting new espionage thriller, premieres his new movie with The Cinema Society in high New York City style at the posh new club Omar’s!
Clive Owen, 48, has been a top leading man in Hollywood and overseas for nearly two decades, starring in such smashes as Sin City and The Bourne Identity. The Cinema Society and BlackBerry hosted the May 30 screening of his new movie, Magnolia Picture’s Shadow Dancer. The film tells the gut-wrenching story, set in 1990s Belfast, of an active member of the IRA who becomes an MI5 informant to protect her son.
It’s a tale of divided loyalties nested in the world of covert intrigue.
The Cinema Society is known for hosting the best screenings and premieres of Hollywood’s most promising independent and major films. It’s a haven for cinephiles, industry leaders, and popcorn movie lovers alike. The swanky Shadow Dancer after-party was held at the new restaurant/supper club Omar’s, where the Qui tequila cocktails (dubbed Shadow Dancer, and The Belfast, in keeping with the film) were flowing like wine.
