The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star is saddling up for a second turn as host!
When the curtain rises on the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards this September, we’ll be seeing a familiar face standing — or, more likely, singing — center stage: Neil Patrick Harris! The song-and-dance man has officially been tapped to host this year’s Emmys, and he “couldn’t be more honored.”
Neil released the following statement about his return to the Emmys stage:
I couldn’t be more honored and excited to be hosting this year’s Emmy Awards. And what perfect timing – I’ll just do the exact same script I’m about to use for the Tonys. ‘And the Emmy for Best Revival of a Musical goes to Breaking Bad!’ See, told you it works.
Neil previously hosted the Emmys in 2009, where he dazzled viewers with an incredible opening number titled “Put Down The Remote.”
In the following years, Jimmy Kimmel, Jane Lynch and Jimmy Fallon each hosted the star-studded ceremony.
