Chief Keef just can’t stay out of trouble. The rapper was arrested for the second time this week when he was pulled over for driving twice the speed limit.
On May 28, Chief Keef, 17, was pulled over at around 3:45 a.m. when police spotted his car speeding on Winnetka Road in Northfield, Illinois. Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was taken into custody by police for driving twice the legal speed limit.
Chief Keef Arrested For Driving Twice The Speed Limit
When police pulled over Keef’s 2011 BMW X6 M, the rapper had three other passengers in the car, which violates his permit that allows him only one other person in the car, according to TMZ. Cops arrested Keef for speeding and having too many people in the car, and he will appear in court on June 17.
Chief Keef Arrested For Disorderly Conduct
The rapper’s arrest comes just one week after he was arrested at a hotel in Dekalb County, Georgia. Keef was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, but was released shortly after.
After his arrest, Keef tweeted, “Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County jail In Atlanta Mad As f***.”
Chief Keef’s Legal Issues
Keeff’s recent arrests aren’t the rapper’s first run-ins with the law. In January 2011, Keef was under house arrest for Heroin manufacture and distribution. In December 2011, he was arrested again for three counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest. On Jan. 15, 2013, he was sentenced to 60 days juvenile detention for violating his probation for pointing a gun at Chicago police officers.
