Plus, Charisma weighs in on the ‘Veronica Mars’ movie and more! Watch our interview below.
When we last saw Charisma Carpenter on The Lying Game‘s spring finale, her shady character was allegedly pushing Alec Rybak through a skylight. So when Rebecca’s portrayer paid a visit to HollywoodLife.com‘s New York office recently, I had to grill her. “We never saw her!” Charisma insists. “We don’t know; Was it her? Was it someone else? Is he even dead?”
All fair questions.
But the biggest looming question about Charisma’s ABC Family series is: When will it come back? On that front, Charisma’s got some good news and some bad news. Though the show hasn’t been canceled, it also hasn’t been picked up for more episodes. That decision will made at the end of the summer.
In the meantime, Charisma suggests fans tweet their love for the show to @ABCFamily, @ABCFLyingGame and the show’s executive producer Chuck Pratt (@ChuckPrattJr).
Charisma Talks ‘Surviving Evil’
Regardless of The Lying Game‘s future, you’ll still have an opportunity to watch Charisma on her upcoming Investigation Discovery series Surviving Evil. The series, which Charisma hosts, tells the true stories of women who have found the courage within themselves to not only survive attacks, but also find a way to connect their attacker to the crime and bring them to justice.
Unfortunately, Charisma has a personal connection to her latest project:
The first episode is my story, where I was actually attacked on the beach with two friends. They were shot; one was critically injured and one was injured, but they both lived. He was a San Diego police officer, which is kind of what makes my story compelling. You expect a police officer to protect you, not attack you.
