How about instead of tweeting your support….actually GO SUPPORT Oklahoma during this time of need! Donate your time, money, clothing, food and water to help these towns out. If I was back home, I’d be out there helping. I love my state!

If that’s all those celebs are doing is tweeting that they are sending love and prayers, then that’s a load of crap. Love prayers don’t do squat. Do something useful like donating to Red Cross for disaster relief!

That’s just so stupid…. most of them WILL donate just like they have with other disasters such as Indonesia. There is nothing wrong with asking for prayers as well !!

Except it’s not an “as well”. None of those shown tweets by celebs said “Donate to RedCross and #prayforoklahoma”. Not one of them. None of them mentioned donating either money or time to a disaster relief organization. All they did was offer their ineffectual “love & prayers”.

Slacktivism, pure & simple. A feel-good action that does nothing but limit your own guilt at not actually helping.
