The troubled ‘Teen Mom 2’ star failed to show up for a court date on May 20 — and found herself behind bars. Her lawyer Dustin R. T. Sullivan tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY what really happened.
Jenelle Evans was back in jail on May 20, less then a month after being arrested for heroin possession and assault. This time, the troubled Teen Mom 2 star was booked for failing to show up to a court date.
Jenelle Evans In Jail — Turns Herself In After Failing To Appear In Court
Jenelle’s court date was for a hearing regarding the cyber stalking charges her ex-fiance Gary Head took out on her, but her lawyer Dustin R. T. Sullivan tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Jenelle was running late for her appearance.
“She had a court date [on May 20], and she was running late to court,” Dustin tells HollywoodLife.com. “They basically just closed, and allowed me to wait to see if she showed up before the end of the day. It wasn’t a full court day.”
But Dustin says the court kept waiting for Jenelle — but she was a no show.
“When they were ready to close she wasn’t’ there yet. She got [charged with] a fail to appear,” he adds.
He also reveals that Jenelle turned herself in, and was later released on a $1,000 secured bond.
