This is the most absurd and silly thing: an invented story reported by kids who have no credentials about a non-existant conflict. Don’t you see that Bonnie Fuller’s blog (or whatever this website is) is doing the same thing Idol does – trying to create conflict to make money. It has as little to do with actual journalism (or facts) as American Idol has to do with music. Hey Bonnie, I know you’re trying to be Perez Hilton now, or Rona Barrett, why don’t you at least sit down at the typewriter and write this crap yourself, instead of delegating it to interns?

This is what our popular culture has come to? Like the great Lily Tomlin said, “no matter how cynical you get, it’s impossible to keep up!” Read Stargayzing.com for more of my perspective.

I think you got your facts wrong. First Mariah Carey was still at Columbia, when Tommy Mottola stole music she had written with Ja Rule, the song was to be the first single and it was called “If We”. It was already written, recorded and ready to go when Tommy rushed Jennifer Lopez into the recording studio with JaRule to sing the same song different words. Mariah used this leverage to get out of her Sony Contract. Secondly Beyonce was always being groomed to be the new it Girl for Columbia, because she can actually sing. Jennifer Looez is a dancer, not a singer so she would never be the new Mariah. Lastly anyone that watched American Idol would have clearly seen that Mariah stood up
