Owned 2 wolf hybrids for 16 years. They were well cared for, loved and trained to be great “canine citizens” just like any responsible dog owner would do. Jules seems to have everything under control and is clearing taking great care of her animals. Some people just can’t stand to mind their own business. .

Wolf hybrids are perfectly legal in CA. I see people with them at the local off-leash dog park and they are as sweet and playful as any of the other dogs. As they are not full wolves, they can’t be released into “the wilds of Montana;” they need a loving home like any other dogs.

I think the neighbor should mind her own business unless the dogs are running around loose or something. If the wolf dogs were raised as dogs, they think they are dogs and would feel like stray dogs if you dumped them in the woods. They probably don’t have a clue about how to hunt or make shelter.

Kristen said her Mom bought the dogs in Florida. Here in the state of Florida wolves or wolf hybrids with more than 25% wolf are illegal. Clearly the dogs pictured are much more than 25%, I’d say much closer to 90% or more. Ms.Mann-Stewart purchased the dogs illegally!
Ahhhh, the Stewart family…..always above the law!!!!!

You’re reciting incorrectly and old obsolete FL law, Go to hybridlaw.com for the newer law. Btw, before the law was changed the old law was wolfdogs over 75% required a permit, that’s different than being illegal. Anything under 75% is treated as a domestic dog. Now the law says it has to look completely like a wolf to require a permit

Thank you armchair wildlife expurt!

Wrongo, it’s maybe illegal in Florida for the average pet owner, NOT for the person who has official wildlife PERMITS and facilities, according to you then wildlife safaris and zoos can’t exist in Florida because it’s “illegal.” For all you armchair types know she bought her pups in Florida from a licensed wildlife facility.
There is no way to tell what percentages are because genetics doesn’t work like a soup recipe- add 1 part of this to 1 part of that and the mix has 50% of each, canine genetics the way it works a puppy in the litter can be anywhere from near zero % wolf to 99% wolf, there’s no way to get an exact 25% 50% 75% 90% genetics doesn’t work that way do some research and learn something!

One: You shouldnt cross breed a wild animal with a domesticated ones and Two: You shouldn’t own a wild animal all together it is cruel and not natural! :( There is something seriously wrong with the stewart family…and of course the neighbour will be in the wrong right, she’s not the mother of a hollywood actress so whatever she says will be deemed inacurate anyway especially for HL where they can’t get enough of Kristen stewart. I think that the only cases where you can actually have wild animals (even cross breeds) is if you are rehabilitating them back into the wild otherwise it is just unethical.

nothing wrong with owning a wolf. I’m from Stellenbosch in SA and we have a pet cheetah his name is BOUCHER after a former SA cricketer Mark Boucher

How weird to want to own hybrid wolf/dog breed when there are plenty of dogs needing homes. Something is wrong with these Screwart people.

So adopt some then but don’t criticize other people for their choice of what pets they want.

Okay! So someone i.e. neighbor coming on your property howling and acting like a lunatic is normal? Obviously, these animals are being cared for and no incident of harm to anyone has been reported! I’m more worried about the lunatic than the wolf!

Since the government is allowing the MURDER of all wolves by taking away their endangered species act… FYI: Hybrids are legal.

Jules Stewart is a COMPLETE NUT!. Wolves are not to be kept as PETS. This is animal cruelty and she needs to be legally punished.

To crazy, they are not wolves!!! They are crossed between wolves and dogs, a hybrid. I have met
many hybrids, all of them were just like big German Shephards, most of them are big whimps, this
neighbor is annoying these dogs, she needs to mind her own business!
