A new report claims that the stylish gal will receive a hefty, $2.3 million pay check for her new fashion venture.
Move over, Katie Holmes! It looks like the star’s stylish young daughter, Suri Cruise, just might be venturing into design — and at the tender age of 7 years old. A new report claims that the young star has inked a $2.3 million deal for her own label, which will appropriately be called Suri.
Suri’s Fashion Line:
According to The Sun, the debut collection for girls is set to launch this fall in a New York department store and will consist of dresses, tops, jeans, and, of course, accessories. Based of Suri’s personal sense of style, I can’t wait to see colorful flats, airy dresses and even nightgowns that double as dinner attire.
“Suri is only seven but she is incredibly interested in clothes. She has been through a very difficult year and adapted amazingly to her new life in New York, including the upheaval of starting normal school,” a source tells the newspaper. “This is a nice hobby for her, it’s certainly not going to take over her life. Most girls dream of being able to make their own clothes, this just means her drawings will now become a reality. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out, there’s nothing around quite like it.”
Katie Holmes Helps Suri Land Her Fashion Deal:
Apparently Suri’s mom, Katie, helped put the wheels in motion on the project along with her longtime friend and stylist-turned-designer Jeanne Yang. The duo also have their own collection called Holmes & Yang.
Considering Suri was practically dubbed a style icon even before she was even walking it was only a matter of time before she landed her first line — but what do you think? I know I’m so glad to hear that she waited until her taste really matured before adding the title designer to her resume.
