Excuse me, In Europe we have different age limites than in the states. Take BELGIUM we can drink a beer from 16 but drinks as cocktail jenever and other hard stuff like that from our 18. In BELGIUM we can drive from our 18 in the USA you can driver from your 16. In the USA you can go to university from your 16 in Belgium you are 18. So what we (Europeans) are diffrent. We have very strict rules. In europe you can not just walk around with a gun. If you the Americans would change that, there would a lot of people still be walking around! In the drinking age we are maybe a bit more leniant, but you guys are more leniant in driving, guns, …

what irritates me most about this, besides the over reaction to drinking is that Cape Town does not have jungles! Ive lived here my entire life. We don’t have elephants just roaming around, this place he was in is a type of Zoo. Also its not hot here at the moment, in fact it was raining yesterday and today. Americans really need to be educated about how cape town really is.

The US is so anal about the drinking age thing. Years ago, the legal age to drink beer in the States was 18. That was back in the days of 3.2 beer. Our government just can’t seem to understand that making the drinking age higher just makes drinking that much more appealing to teens. It’s stupid to think that 18-year-olds are mature enough to go into combat, sign legally binding contracts and decide who should govern the country, but aren’t mature enough to have a few beers.

Not only is he in a country where he is legal to drink, he is also 19 where it is legal to drink in his home – Canada! People need to get over themselves, this isn’t news at all. Maybe next I have a drink, and I am of age, they can make it international news.

Good article. Some make a big deal of anything he does even though millions of young guys do the same thing. As long as he does not get drunk or make it a daily habit, party on!

to the best of my knowledge america is the only country with a 21 year old legal drinking age, Canada is 19 (repeat 19) hence he is Canadian… so he is doing nothing wrong. Other countries like Europe and probably south Africa have a 18 year old drinking age… so who gives a s**t if hes drinking!

I don’t think he should drink tons of it beer is alcohol after all. Since he lives in the states or is in the states a lot he shouldn’t be chugging it down since 21 is are legal drinking age but it is okay to have one beer were it is legal for him.

I don’t see what the big deal is… How is he in a rush to grow up if he’s of legal age in his own country that he’s a citizen of, and also drinking somewhere else that he’s legal age? Who cares if he’s out drinkIng while on vacation? He’s not breaking any laws

Melissa beat me too it but ya, Justin is considered legal to drink here in Canada where he’s from… How many celebrities drink underage, in facr how many people in the states drink underage? Who gives a f*ck?! Plus in Africa the drinking age is 18… So technically he’s not underage drinking.

• Ontario – 19 —- Justin’s PROVINCE; AKA Home!
• Prince Edward Island – 19

• Saksatchewan – 19
• Yukon Territory – 19

Nice info Melissa. TMZ has a sarcastic article on this as usual and even some Justin bashers think it’s no big deal.
