In Jodi’s first interview since being found guilty, she makes an astounding confession — she hopes to be sentenced to death. Here’s why.

Shockingly, Jodi said that receiving the death penalty is exactly what she’s hoping for. “The worst outcome for me would be natural life,” she told FOX. “I said years ago that I’d rather get death than life, and that still is true today.” Jodi explains her unlikely preference, saying, “I believe death is the ultimate freedom, so I’d rather just have my freedom as soon as I can get it.”
The Maricopa County sheriff’s office said in a statement that Jodi has been put on suicide watch because of these comments, according to USA Today.

On Travis’ family, Jodi told FOX that she hopes they will now be able to move on: “I hope that, now that a verdict has been rendered, that they’re able to find peace, some sense of peace.
