More than 30 seniors at a San Diego high school are forced to miss their graduation and prom after they filmed a video on school grounds showcasing the popular “twerking” dance craze! Do YOU think that’s too extreme?

Senior year is supposed to be one of the most exciting times in teens’ lives, especially with prom and graduation to close out the last four years. But for a group of seniors at Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego, those milestones were ripped away from them.

Students Suspended For Twerking Video

The video shows about 30 girls all engaging in the popular “twerk” dance craze, in which they move their hips suggestively. A man, who calls himself WetMilk, is also on the videos  looking on at the women and seemingly judging their dance moves.

But the school’s administrators insist that the students involved violated the honor code laid out in the handbook by performing such sexually provocative acts on school property.

The handbook states that students are prevented from engaging in anything “verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature made by someone from or in the educational setting,” according to NBC San Diego. And the administrators have the biggest issue with the fact that the video was shot on school property, not that the students were involved.

Scripps High School Twerking Video — Why It Was Filmed

Twerking videos have been a popular recreation since celebs, including Miley Cyrus, have posted twerk videos on YouTube. Senior Lyston McNear suggested in his journalism class that his classmates make a twerking video — and they were excited to participate.

“Nobody was offended or anything. It was like, ‘Oh, that’s cool,'” he told The Union-Times. Even though Lyston didn’t appear in the video, it was his idea.

What do YOU think of the students being suspended, HollyMoms? Do you think that’s appropriate or fair? Let us know in the comments below!

Examining Real-World Systems Of sex with a stranger

For a lot of women, alert cat-and-mouse and relying on a accustomed cure
for cysts works just fine. l Genital Herpes is caused by the virus
called herpes simplex and can affect the mouth, genital area, the skin around
the anus, and the fingers. The cause of premature ejaculation can be both physical and psychological.

Your information is not entirely correct and you’ve left out some very important information(I don’t know if this was only in local papers-I live near the school). They used school property to make the video. THAT is the MAIN problem. They took school property that is what made it a violation. They should have just used their phones then perhaps they would be going, but considering the area of the school, i’m sure enough of the parents will have enough complaints to at least get the kids to walk at graduation. Missing prom, who cares, more importantly, they’ve screwed up so bad they aren’t being allowed to walk at their graduation(which you also left out)

The kids made a mistake definitely. But I can’t help but think their must be some other way of dealing with this indiscretion. Even if you just took prom away, I think that’s a big enough punishment. But graduation? It just doesn’t fit the crime. They made a mistake, all kids all PEOPLE do. They didn’t do drugs, kill or maim anyone …

Rules are rules. Some people (think Lindsey Lohan and company) think they are above the rules and intentionally go about their job of breaking them and pushing the envelope when they are are punished. I suggest these girls get a date, dress up, and go out together on Prom Night. Maybe they could go to some club where it’s just fine to dance this way. It doesn’t look good at a senior prom. As for graduation, so they miss the ceremony. They can’t be relied on for appropriate behavior at a serious program. They’ll get a diploma anyhow. Maybe their little dance number was worth it,

This is just sad… I can’t imagine any of those girls have any real self-respect.
