Upper arm surgery is on the rise and First Lady Michelle Obama’s trim biceps are the biggest inspiration, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ annual report, released on April 29. Find out what other celebs’ strong guns had an influence on the nip/tuck movement below.

Most Americans workout to get their bodies right and tight but according to a recent study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 15,000 women have requested plastic surgery to improve their upper arm appearance. The new ASPS annual report claims that upper arm surgery has become one of the most popular trends, with the numbers showing a four thousand percent increase since 2000! What’s not surprising is that the number one inspiration behind the arm surgery trend is Michelle Obama!

Arm Surgery For Michelle Obama’s Arms — Jennifer Aniston & More Inspire The Look

The First Lady’s smoking, hot guns continues to lead the way as inspiration for upper arm surgery. Actress Jennifer Aniston is the the runner-up. Getting these beautiful, fit arms from surgery is actually more difficult than it looks. The procedure shows promising results but also leaves a scar from your elbow to your armpit. Plus, it can cost anywhere between $6,000 and $12,000 and usually isn’t covered by insurance.

According to the poll included in the society’s annual study, Jessica Biel, Kelly Ripa and Demi Moore were the next three stars that are admired for their beautiful, fit upper arms. It’s looking like strong, upper arms are becoming a national epidemic and “bat wings” becoming a thing of the past! Are you ready and willing to join this trend?

HollywoodLifers, would you consider getting plastic surgery just to have arms as sexy and fit as your favorite Hollywood celeb?

Yes, I hear brachioplasty is up, however breast augmentation and liposuction are still most the most sought procedures in my practice. Ms Obama, the latest in women to emulate, does have well toned arms. I think one might have to work out a little to get those arms, however. Well toned with nice biceps. Lift weights, ladies. Brachioplasty is a helpful surgery for people who have lost a large amount of weight. And yes, it does leave a scar. I still say, stick with being the best YOU possible, and that may mean working out in addition to surgical procedures.
