Cris Broussard should not have to apologize for the comments he made!! As a Christian He believes what the Bible says. It says that homosexuality is a perversion, period!! I am A christian and i feel the same way. I shouldnt have to apologize for what I believe. This world is becoming a world that makes excuses for all types of illegal and immoral things that go on. Like Broussard said” if u do these things ( homosexuality, infidelity, premarital sex), then u are openly disobeying God’s laws. If u are not confessing these acts to Him and trying to change them the how can u call yourself a christian? When the time comes, God will tell them,” I never knew you”. Its not about saying you’re a Christian, it’s about BEING a christian!!

This is trash! It clearly states that homosexuality is a sin! You all want to rewrite laws, now you all want to rewrite the bible too. Come on people! Personal life isn’t really personal anymore and people like you are supporting it. I don’t care if you’re gay, I’d rather not know. They took God out of schools and it is getting closer to the day that He won’t be aloud on television and the radio. I would’ve of apologized for my beliefs. It is like slapping God in the face after defending Him. God Bless You :) and YOU open your eyes America

Let’s get something straight Chris does not have the authority to call anyone a sinner, because we are all sinners. It is God who has labeled us as sinners because we have fallen short of His glory. But what Chris said about Jason’s actions are correct. Yet the next time someone speaks about issues from the Bible like homosexuality, they need to start by saying it in one of two ways’ “It is written….”, as Jesus stated when He was talking to satan. Or “Thus sayest the Lord God….”, as when the prophets were talking to the children of Israel and JudaH. When you start by saying it that way it takes the responsiblity off of you and places it on God, because He will be the final Judge of all things whether good or bad.

Chris does not need to apologize at all. How can or why should a person apologize for the truth? He spoke the truth in love and his comments were not “over the top.” I appreciate his honesty.

Good for Chris Broussard! I have no problem with Jason Collins – he can do whatever he wants. Same with Chris – he should be free to believe whatever he wants. But make you understand Chris, the Left Coast wackos will come out of the woodwork.

Could you imagine if a white dude said what Chris said?

Good for Chris Broussard, if more people were like him then this country would be the great land it used to be. I not only praise Chris for what he said and believe he was 100% accurate in his statement, and therefore i do not see where he should apologize. Is there not a document our forefathers put in to act that states in the beginning a freedom of speech? I thought there was.

Homosexuality is not deserving of the approbation of man. We can not overlook condemning those, who, through their own bad use of their faculties, are vicious to the good and perfection of the human system.

All members of society are interested in the due observance of the Laws of Nature, hence they have all a right to praise or condemn another man’s actions according as they are conformable or contrary to these laws. They have even a kind of obligation in this respect, lest men be wanting in their duty to society and to individuals, were they not to testify, at least by their approbation or censure, the esteem they have for probity and virtue, and their aversion, on the contrary, to iniquity and vice.

So this country is okay with everyone coming out and saying they are Gay and sticking up for what they “believe” in, but when someone comes right back at them and says, that’s a sin BECAUSE IT IS, then they are the one who is wrong and is not a nice person.

Is the world really getting this blind? Leviticus 18:22 and there are numerous other scriptures that CLEARLY and plainly state homosexuality is a detestable thing. Very, verrrry simple.

So if you want to be gay, GOOD FOR YOU. Your a disgusting person and your wrong. And please don’t argue with me, because your arguing with god. You know that person no one believes in but someone we magically appeared on the earth.

Don’t apologize Chris Broussard, tell people like it is.

Just as leviticus 20:13 states against homosexuality. but when i pointed that out i was called homophobic and all that for my beliefs in the bible and god. It sickens me now that people are more forgiving of sins clearly stated in the bible than the people who live by the bible.
Its sad really that people care more about someones feelings getting hurt rather than living how God has clearly told us how to. This country is on the verge of falling into hell in this handbasket we are already in.

Chris has a right to express his beliefs just like anyone else. It’s never an issue when others bash Christians for their beliefs, but as soon as a Christian speaks out against what the bible calls sin, everyone becomes agitated. I don’t believe Chris needed to apologize at all for his statements. I applaud him for his courage for standing up for his beliefs and for Christ. I support and share his views and beliefs 100%.

According to the Bible…not some secret interpretation, but the literal word-for-word, verbatim, in the original Greek,, not hidden in some secret text…it’s clear that same-sex relations are the opposite of the Biblical standard. That’s it.
What’s the problem? Either you agree with the Bible or you don’t. Why get mad either way? Live your life the way you believe is best and you have to answer for the consequences. End of discussion.
If you ask someone who believes in the Biblical standard, don’t act shocked when they affirm that standard. How ignorant! If you don’t believe in the Biblical standard, then live by whatever standard you believe is right (and be ready to live with the consequences).
This is true tolerance.

That is the most ridiculous argument I’ve ever heard cj2008. If you’ll take the time to reach Chris’s original statement, he lists premarital sex as a sin as well. So what is your point? He is saying that’s a sin as well. Isn’t the fact that you deem any statement at all opposing homosexuality “intolerant” , in essence you being intolerant of other points of view?

If you read below you will see Matt that I was referring to the people who nitpick about homosexuality being a sin, or did you just comment on the first thing that you saw.. I said that the same people who view homosexuality as a sin are the very same people who are going around having premarital sex and having kids out of wedlock… They like to pick and choose what benefits them so there you go

We all are sinners, the difference is that in the Christian life we confess our sins, repent (turn away), and God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. That is part of being a Christian. If you choose to live in sin, unrepentant, then you are not living a Christian life. Not because you have sinned, but because you have chosen to live in the sin without repentance. All Have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Broussard did not judge Jason Collins, he simply responded when asked his perspective on a homosexual claiming to live a Christian life.

@Cj2008 -

Of course, I sin as do we all but that doesn’t negate the truth of what is contained in the Holy Bible. GOD’S words are pure truth and He never sins. GOD is always right and His Holy Bible is truth.

GOD hates ALL sin, including homosexuality. And GOD judges and punishes sin on His schedule…

Woe to those who call good evil and evil good – Isaiah 5:20 – KJV.

I really do not understand why chris even has to apologize. If your gonna make someone apologize, you should make espn because they asked they question. What is Chris suppose to do, not be honest? It is a shame that jason collins gets praised for coming out but chris gets attacked for being an open Christian.

Hi -

Hollywood Life expressed, “…but he has not said sorry for saying such unkind words.”

###

Bravo to Chris for telling the truth, according to what is in GOD’S Holy Bible. Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:27.

His words are in league with the content of what pleases GOD. It’s truth and GOD is ALWAYS on the side of truth.
