Tim has been waived by the Jets, and he has until 4pm ET on April 30 to get picked up by another team.

Tim Tebow‘s football career may be in serious jeopardy, as he has been dropped by the New York Jets. On April 29, the team announced that after one season, they would not to asking him to return.

Tim Tebow Waived By New York Jets

“We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow,” said Jets head coach Rex Ryan to USA Today. “Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason (losing weight). We wish him the best moving forward.”

Tebow will now have to pass through waivers. Teams will have until 4pm Eastern Time to put in a claim for him, or things will look pretty bad for Tim, 25.

As of now, some teams have spoken out about Tim, and the Jacksonville Jaguars do not plan to offer Tim a spot.

“The Jacksonville Jaguars’ plans do not include Tim Tebow,” a team spokesman told USA TODAY Sports.

However, Tim has an offer on the table from the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. Coach Brett Bouchy expressed his interest over one month ago.

“Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we’d love to have him,” he said. “I think he would definitely improve as a quarterback in our league.”

Tim Tebow Tweets About Being Waived

Tim is remaining optimistic throughout the waiving ordeal.

“Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding…in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight,” tweeted Tim on April 29.

We wish Tim the best!
