* The involvement of the CIA in running Heroin from Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Afghanistan, and Cocaine from Central America, has been well documented, by the 1989 Kerry Committee report, academic researchers Alfred McCoy and Peter Dale Scott and the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Gary Webb.

* It’s not even possible to keep drugs out of prisons, but prohibitionists wish to waste trillions in an utterly futile attempt to keep them off our streets.

* The United States jails a larger percentage of it’s own citizens than any other country in the world, including those run by the worst totalitarian regimes, yet it has far higher use/addiction rates than most other countries.

The United States re-legalized certain drug use in 1933. The drug was alcohol, and the 21st amendment re-legalized its production, distribution and sale. Both alcohol consumption and violent crime dropped immediately as a result, and very soon after, the American economy climbed out of that same prohibition engendered abyss into which it had foolishly fallen.

Not yet convinced that this magic plant can actually enhance and improve human abilities? Here are just a few of the many highly motivated athletes whose drug of choice is cannabis/marijuana:

* Usain Bolt, the 2008 World Record holder of the 100 and 200 meter sprint.

* Michael Phelps, the most decorated swimmer ever with 14 Olympic gold medals.

* Tim Linecum, the National League baseball’s Cy Young Award winner for 2009.

* Santonio Holmes, the Super Bowl XLII’s MVP.

* Mark Stepnoski, two-time Super Bowl champion. “I’d rather smoke than take painkillers.”

* Randy Moss, NFL single season touchdown reception record (23, set in 2007), and the NFL single-season touchdown reception record for a rookie (17, in 1998). Moss has founded, and financed many charitable endeavors including the the Links for Learning foundation, formed in 2008.

* Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA’s all-time leader in points scored (38,387), games played, minutes played, field goals made, field goal attempts, blocked shots and defensive rebounds. During his career with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers from 1969 to 1989, Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA championships and a record six regular season MVP Awards. He has a prescription to smoke marijuana in California, which he says he uses to control nausea and migraine headaches. He has been arrested twice for marijuana possession.

“Evidence provides no indication that decriminalization leads to a measurable increase in marijuana use.”

— Boston University Department of Economics

“There is little evidence that decriminalization of marijuana use necessarily leads to a substantial increase in marijuana use.”

— National Academy of Sciences

“The preponderance of the evidence which we have gathered and examined points to the conclusion that decriminalization has had virtually no effect either on the marijuana use or on related attitudes and beliefs about marijuana use among American young people.”

— The University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research

“The Dutch experience, together with those of a few other countries with more modest policy changes, provides a moderately good empirical case that removal of criminal prohibitions on cannabis possession (decriminalization) will not increase the prevalence of marijuana or any other illicit drug; the argument for decriminalization is thus strong.”

— British Journal of Psychiatry

According to a Swedish government inquiry published in 2010 The number of people suffering from serious abuse of alcohol and drugs has increased by up to 20 and 15 percent respectively since 2000:

“Help and care reaches only one in five abusers,” – Gerhard Larsson, who was leading the inquiry.

Alcohol is identified as the “big problem” with fresh figures indicating that 330,000 people in Sweden (total population 9,400,000) suffer from alcohol dependency.

The report also stated that 65,000 people abuse prescription drugs while 80,000 are “risk consumers” of illegal drugs, with a further 29,500 suffering from serious abuse.

Larsson wrote that the hidden statistics behind drug and alcohol abuse are considerable with only 100,000 of the total 500,000 abusers known to the healthcare services. – “We can no longer ignore the fact that many have developed abuse and dependency situations that require treatment, Swedish legislation and the organization of healthcare resources to deal with substance abuse must be comprehensively reviewed”

Even though Sweden has some of the most draconic drug laws on the planet, drug crime and usage rates continue to climb.

A recent survey shows that 40 percent of boys in certain inner-city secondary schools in Stockholm have experimented with illegal drugs. This is a 10 percent rise in just 4 years.

The Stockholm based Maria Ungdom clinic has labeled this development as an ‘epidemic’.
‘When enough people are using it, you reach a point where it’s considered socially acceptable. I think we’re nearing that point. Marijuana is no longer seen as stigmatizing, since so many are using it. The same kids who’re trying alcohol are now trying marijuana.”
– Stefan Sparring, the manager of Stockholm’s Maria Ungdom clinic.

* In November 2012, the Swedish National Bureau of Investigation (Rikskriminalpolisen) says that reports of home-grown marijuana in Sweden have quadrupled in just 10 years, they claim there is now enough domestically-grown marijuana to supply the needs of all Sweden’s pot-smokers.

Kindly google the following:

1) Sweden is experiencing a continual rise in gangland shootings over disputed drug territories.

2) Statistics for Swedish marijuana seizures are up.

3) Sweden also has widespread Police corruption involving the black-market for illegal drugs.

The United Nations Children’s Fund’s annual report of 2013 on child well-being, “Report Card 11″, is a comprehensive paper that details the specifics of child welfare, and examines issues from drug use to how many eat breakfast regularly. One of the topics in the study is cannabis use among those aged 11-15.

The study found, quite conclusively, that Canada has more cannabis consumers in that age range than any other developed country in the world, at 28%. Five other countries had rates above 20% – France, Spain, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and the United States.

The Netherlands (Holland) – with one of the most liberal marijuana policies in the world (they also supply hard-core heroin addicts with free heroin) – was ranked #1 in child well-being. In the Netherlands, usage rates among youth is at 17%, significantly lower than the U.S. and Canada, both of which have much stricter cannabis policies.
In addition, the study found that Portugal, which has decriminalized marijuana, had one of the lowest rates of youth using marijuana in the world, at just 10%, which is much lower than the rate it was before they decriminalized the personal possession of all drugs in 2001.

“What of the cripple who hates dancers? What of the ox who loves his yoke and deems the elk and deer of the forest stray and vagrant things? What of the old serpent who cannot shed his skin, and calls all others naked and shameless? And of him who comes early to the wedding-feast, and when over-fed and tired goes his way saying that all feasts are a violation and all feasters lawbreakers?”
—Khalil Gibran

It is the Prohibitionists, a wholly malignant scourge of absolute scoundrels, who are literally strangling the Constitution and starving Freedom to death. And until the Freedom and Constitution of our once proud and prosperous nation is secured, these same prohibitionist parasites, with their promotion of organized crime, murder, terrorism, and economic recession—and who carry with them a disease far fouler than Old Testament leprosy—shall be hunted down, removed from public life, and punished accordingly.

Prohibition is an absolute scourge —The End!  The use of drugs is NOT the real problem, the system that grants exclusive distribution rights to violent cartels, terrorists, and corrupt politicians most definitely IS.

Prohibitionists are simply traitors that haven’t yet been Tried and Executed!

the fact he tried pot several times in the past does not mean any pot found in the bus[if the report is true or accurate] belonged to Justin. A lot of guys ride in that bus including Lil Za who has smoked pot. This is another attempt by the media to smear this kid with a possibly overblown or untrue report. They are already using the term drugs which calls to mind heroin, coke, etc. instead of pot-legal in a lot of European countries.

the rabid morons on this and other sites are so blind with hate for this kid they call for his death even though nothing ties him to the pot and stun gun if the report is true. Cops can plant evidence, lie, or exaggerate also-some of them might not like him either. Pot, moreover, has been tolerated in Sweden in small amounts and is legal according to some-google it.
