Terrifying events in Boston are still unfolding, as a police shootout leaves one bombing suspect dead.
Our thoughts are with the people of Boston today, as authorities continue the hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of two men believed to have been involved in the April 15 bombings at the Boston Marathon. Dzhokhar’s brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed in a violent shootout with police — and HollywoodLife.com has a gallery of all the latest developments.
Tsarnaev Brothers Rob 7-Eleven
The manhunt for the Tsarnaevs intensified April 19, after the brothers robbed a 7-Eleven in Cambridge, Mass., the night before. A campus policeman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology responded to the ‘suspicious incident,’ and ended up being killed by the brothers. This led to a violent shootout between the Tsarnaevs and Boston police officers, which resulted in Tamarlan’s death. Dzaohar, unfortunately, managed to escape the scene.
Police Surround Dzokhar Tsarnaev
After his brother was killed in the violent shootout with police, Dzokhar was believed to have escaped to a building in Watertown, Mass., a small town just outside Boston. Police cars quickly surrounded the structure — a scary, unusual scene for a normally quiet town.
Police approached the scene with caution, as it was suspected Dzokhar could have set traps in the building. The Boston Globe also reported that Dzokhar could have been wearing an explosive vest, adding to police’s concerns.
At the time, however, police were not 100 percent certain that Dzokhar was in the building.
