I somewhat agree, but some matters should be done a bit differently.

Rajan Zed is a Hindu Taliban in America. He misuses the freedom given to him in America. Bindi is not the monopoly of Indian Hindus. It’s quite common in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka South Africa and Indonesia. Bindi has no religious significance. It is used by girls as a beauty spot. But Rajan Zed belongs to the genre of Hindu extremists in India who are responsible for killing Christians and burning churches. Rajan Zed’s movements and activities in the United States are to be monitored by CIA.

Traditional bindis are red or maroon in color and are round shaped. Nowadays they come in all sizes, colors and shapes that most Indian women wear as a fashion accessory. If Indian women can wear it as a fashion accessory, then so can Selena and Vanessa.
This piece of information brought to you by a Hindu Indian woman

An American

Apparently people forget we live in America if they want to slap some jewels on their head they get to. Doesnt mean disrespect unless you want to make something out of nothing.

No Excuse

Its disrespectful because its a religious symbol, its not just a cultural thing that Hindu people wish to claim ownership to it is an important religious symbol and was used inappropriately; therefore it was disrespectful.

A crucifix is also a religious symbol, but no one would have thought twice if she would have worn one.

crosses are also a religious symbol but you don’t see us catholics complaining about people wearing shirts and dresses and necklaces with them on it.

I do, Im a white girl but my husband is from India. We married in a traditional Hindu ceremony and it pleases my husband that I accept his culture. My nose is pierced and I wear a manglasutra too. I dont wear bindi as a fashion statement. As the wife of an Indian man I have every right to wear the symbols of our marriage.
