I cant vote because I live in Canada, but Candice is def the best. Whats wrong with the US?? Please vote for her, hope its not some weird race thing. Why are all white men winning?? And after they win, they are so boring.

What a rip on American Idol tonight (April 25, 2013). They pulled a fast one by not eliminating one of the contestants. Come’on Idol, play fair, go by the votes.

Candice is, imho, the single best vocalist American Idols has ever seen. She deserves to win, HANDS DOWN!

Amber and Candice split the vote – they are similar in style which is R&B. If Amber is voted off next week Candice is certainly in the top two. Kree and Janelle also are similar in style – Country. If Janelle is voted off than Kree is is certainly in the top two. What we will have in the top three are Kree, Candice and Angie. Angie has the only original style. Angie can do anything. Country, R&B, Soul, POP, INDY and Christian. That can be a good thing or a bad thing for her. I think Angie is the most marketable artist they have on idol this time around. She has the potential to be another Kelly Clarkson. Kree would just be another country singer and Candice would be another R&B singer on a long list of been there done that.

omg! please don’t compare that fake pageant girl to Kelly Clarkson…Kelly is a million more times real and genuine then Angie will ever be.

Amber is definitely not fake. If anything she seems more down to earth and more relatable than Candice. Not taking anything away from Candice because she has the best voice out of all the ladies. It also seem to me that last night Candice was trying to outsing and outshine Amber when they were singing together. Either way I want Amber to win but it will be Candice or maybe Kree.

The reasons the producers put them together now is because everyone knows they have been pushing Amber over Candice, even though Candice has the stronger voice. Amber is the idol/slimmer image they would prefer to win. Now that they are being called out for it, they are trying to do damage control. Best to ask your source about this, it would make a better story.

The producers have not been pushing Amber “over” Candice. The judges, Jimmy Iovine, Smokey Robinson, have clearly loved Candice from day 1. What the judges have been doing, if anything, is to try to boost Amber up closer to Candice. Why? Because they like her! The judges love Amber, Jimmy Iovine loves Amber. They don’t have “size” issues about Candice at all. Fantasia was never a Whitney type. I suspect that if Candice and Amber were in each other’s position vote wise, the producers and the judges would be trying to push Candice up. And there’s only so much they can do. The judges and the producers were clearly completely in the tank for Joshua Ledet, and they could not get him to the top.

I believe they put Amber and Candice together to persuade America that Amber was more marketable than Candice.

I also do have to say, the idea of your article/posting being out there actuallly disappoints me. Candice is a great talent and I hate the idea of anyone thinking she may win because of her skin color. Any truly talented person deserves better recognition than that. If you need an expample, go to the american idol website and read the many comments under the video of her performance this week of ‘Love Song’. No other contestant has over 10 comments for their performances and Candice has almost 200, all people stating they are overwhelmed by her talent. As well, they show the number of people listening to the video in real time, Candice has averaged 250-500 people listening at one time, and the other contestants have not been above double digits. Not to mention the number of hits she is getting on youtube. If this women wins, it will not be due to her skin color, it will be in spite of it. Therefore deseves better than to have people think otherwise.
Full disclosure, I am not a friend or a relation, just a fan of anyone who has truly great talent, who becomes fustrated when talented people face senseless sociological obsticales.

Very good, you are right it has become about color of skin not talent. I am married to a dark skin man so I am not bia’s. Wake up people if you use race or color as a determination of talent then you might as well take the Idol off the air. There were some who became idol’s in the past that really did not have the drive to make it in the business. The only one that deserves the top honors is Carrrie Underwood. The judges have to be real or because they are partial to one it will come back to bite them.

Actually, as of last week this was not true. The producers were actually trying to have Candice eliminated. This is why, Randy, Niki, and Jimmy did not have her in their top 3 pick. Luckily, the internet lit up with people calling the producers out on making the judges exclude Candice because Jimmy does not consider her ‘crossover’ material, and he needs to sell records. We all have to remember, it mentions in the credits that the producers have a say. It is due to Candice being so consistently strong that it was such an obvious intentional slight. The most openly uncomfortable with this was Keith and it is why he tried to make up for it by saying after Candices first performance this week, that she is now in his top 3. He realized he sold out and youve got to give him credit for trying to make up for it and do the right thing. Due to Candice making magic this week, the producers know they have to change directiion. Luckily for all of us, as they say, cream always rises to the top! Candice deserves not to be pushed out because she is not the producers idea of a ‘Pop Package’.

look all of this stuff is made up to be honest if you put Candice up against jeniffer husdson she would blow her out if you put Kelly or carrie against cree they would blow her out amber you cant compare hadn’t had any one who could sing and do thoses runs for example like whitney amber she dose with her voice all am saying is she would sale records and wouldnot fade away in the bunch she is not a big voice singer I have heard way better big voices than Candice amber is a singer that will last with the right contract and people working with her listen to some of her you tube videos for me to be exited about someones singing you have to sound good on cd amber is a colorful singer she is the type of singer that can sing up tempo and slow songs and you can enjoy her Candice is good but I heard it all before I would get bored after.

I think its ok for one to speak the obvious. Women came out big on AI this year. We kep the men salivating. The women are more powerful this year and the judges are right. At the end of the day however, the decision is still in the hands of the voters as usual. And look!! Its only women left. Therefore just like the judges predicted and woman is going to win. In my opinino its between the talents of Cree and Ms. Candice. Amber is also great but not as powerfull as these two.

No one should comment or suggest who should be in the finale! Sometimes judges’comments r so ridiculous. If winner is to be decided via voting , let it be. It is definitely too early to announce the winner. The competition is still on………not fair to other contestants .

Wow. Your comments about the producers secret wishes, might just explain something that struck me odd in the week where 4 girls competed, for the 2nd week. Only 2 performers received standing ovations, out of the 8 performances. Know which 2?

Thats right….Amber and Candice, the bottom 2 from the week before. The bottom 2, when the producers changed the rules. Shame on you American idol!!!
