When his mom saw that drawing she should’ve done something.
If this story is true, she should’ve dropped everything and done something to try and help her son.
Lazy parenting is the reason her and the others are dead. two weeks?
She took a very long time to think huh?
I hate when parents see a problem with their kid and decide to do nothing. like the problem is gonna go away on it’s own.
I saw on Oprah once, parents see there was a problem but decide there is no problem because they would then have to do something about it!
Lazy parenting needs to stop people. If everyone parented their kids the right way, there would be no school shootings and such.
Stay safe out there.

My heart goes out to the victims and family, but I think that we all should start to adress the “cause” a bit more rather then just the “disease”. People are underestimating the mental state when being bullied and humilated for a long period of time. Parents also needs to take more responsibility if a child is mollesting a other person

If your son is a tard, and then he shows violent tendencies, you have to act immediately. There is no time to think it over and try to come up with the perfect solution. Have him institutionalized…or at the very least…hide lock up your arsenal. Just like tard strength is abnormal..so is tard violence.

Calling people a TARD is Bullying. You may not think its a big deal. But to some it is very hurtful. When a person has mental problems- anything from , just being depressed to total mental break down. Words such as that can affect them in many different ways. You would not want people calling you names or disrespecting you in anyway, so why would you even in jest disrespect someone else ?

This article implies that Asberger’s=Violence. That’s so far from the truth. The writing of this article is horrible and is Poor journalism at best OR the writer is doesn’t have a clue what she is talking about. Next time an editor should read this a little closer and correct the crap writing.

Correct your spelling: “Asperger” syndrome (not Asberger’s). You should learn how to spell whenever you begin to criticize somebody for poor journalism.

I agree, it is ignorant and wrong to connect the two. My own son has Asperger’s syndrome and is not any where close to the monster described in this article. This is lazy and bad parenting, added by the stress of bullying and ignorance. This child should have received help immediately and if the mother would have done her research and gotten help for the asperger’s syndrome in the first place, she would have known that there are no connection between violent tendencies and the disease. This article is presumptuous and ridiculous, exactly what we have come to expect from “journalism” these days!

Some of the articles about Adam Lanza unnecessarily put a stigma on Asperger’s Syndrome. Now a lot of ppl will judge ppl who have the syndrome or think that they are all violent.

Seems like all of the warning signs and red flags were up all over the place with regards to this monster. Why in the world the mother would not do anything about them is beyond me, and why the mother did not rid her entire house of weapons is beyond me too. She could (and SHOULD) have prevented this.

A dysfunctional mother raising a dysfunctional man. This was a ticking time bomb. The Lanza’s estate should help to defray the financial costs. Father was too greedy to raise his crazy son.

This whole thing just breaks my heart. I know it was ultimately Adam Lanza is and was responsible for doing what he did, but just think of all the bullying and torturing he had to endure that would make him kill innocent little kids! Bullying has grown into such a problem, it’s sad. It makes me so weary of even wanting to have kids because I don’t want them growing up in such a hateful environment.
