If his doctors allow it, Kevin plans on rooting for his teammates from the bench during Louisville’s next game, on Apr. 6. Keep reading for EXCLUSIVE details about Kevin’s inspirational perseverance and team-first attitude.
Kevin Ware: ‘He Wants To Be On The Bench’
A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that even though he suffered a ghastly injury on Mar. 31, nothing can stop him from showing his team spirit. “If he is medically cleared, he wants to be on the bench with his teammates to show his support for their quest on winning the National Championship,” our source tells us.
If Louisville wins on Apr. 6, they will face the winner of Syracuse and Michigan in the national championship game on Apr. 8.
Kenny Klein, Louisville’s senior associate athletic director of for media relations, made a similar statement on Apr. 1, tweeting that Kevin was hoping to “join the Cards as they travel to Atlanta” for the Final Four.
Kevin Ware Is Louisville’s Inspiration
It looks like the only thing that’s going to stop Kevin from rooting for his team is a doctor’s note!
On Mar. 31, when every Louisville Cardinal player struggled to keep their composure while Kevin laid on the court with his bone protruding from his skin, it was he who compelled them to pull it together and refocus on the game against Duke, repeatedly telling them, “Win the game.” When Kevin was stretchered off, it was a one-point game. Louisville, with Kevin in their minds, went on to win 85-63.
Now just imagine if Kevin is on the bench supporting his team less than a week after the horrific injury. Wichita State better watch out.
