Looks like Tiger’s new status as a taken man has given him some confidence on the golf course — with play resuming in the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Mar. 25, he’s just 16 holes away from reclaiming his title as the number one golfer in the world!
Tiger Woods has his swagger back. After being exposed as a womanizing cheater and then losing his golf game in 2009 and 2010, his new relationship with skier Lindsey Vonn has seemingly reinvigorated him. If he wins the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill on Mar. 25, he’ll officially regain golf’s number one ranking!
Tiger Woods On The Verge Of Winning Another Tournament
Shooting a 66 on Saturday, Mar. 23, Tiger roared ahead to grab the lead of the tournament going into the final day two shots ahead of the field.
But after sinking a 10-foot birdie putt on the second hole to take a three-shot lead on Sunday, Mar. 24, a massive thunderstorm rolled into the area, causing play to be suspended. The storm dumped nearly 12 inches of rain on Bay Hill and overflowed the course’s ponds — fish were even beached on the 18th fairway!
Tiger will tee off on Bay Hill’s third hole at 10 AM ET on Mar. 25, and if he can navigate the damp course, he will win his second straight tournament and third win overall in this young 2013 season. And if he does hold on to win, Tiger will reclaim golf’s number one ranking, a title he hasn’t held since October 2010.
Tiger Woods Has Regained His Confidence Because Of Lindsey Vonn
Tiger seems to have regained the elite mental confidence that separates him from other golfers since starting a romantic relationship with Lindsey. On Mar. 18, Tiger and Lindsey took to their Facebook pages to officially announce that they were dating. Posting a gallery of studio-shot photos, Tiger commented that he and Lindsey began as close friends but have blossomed into a couple in the past few months.
Lindsey’s effect on Tiger shows — he looks happy and comfortable again. He seems to have moved on from his difficult past and no longer has those demons distracting him.
The PGA tour better watch out, because with Lindsey behind him, Tiger looks unstoppable.
