With just 12 days to go until Game of Thrones‘ third season premiere, the who’s who of Westeros headed west (or is it south?) for a red carpet premiere March 18 in Hollywood. Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington and the rest of the cast put aside their individual quests for the Iron Throne — for one night, anyway — and smiled for the cameras at TCL Chinese Theatre. The evening even featured Emilia’s epic reunion with former on-screen husband Jason Momoa!
There are so many things to love about the Game of Thrones cast, but one of my favorites is the fact that everyone is a chameleon. Every single cast member — the ladies, at least — look unrecognizable out of costume, which was never more evident than in these photos. Did you know Daenerys and Cersei (Lena Headey) are both brunettes in real life? Or that Michelle Fairley is a million times prettier than Catelyn? And I can’t even talk about Gwendolyn Christie, who looks so good out of her warrior-princess attire, it makes me weep.
And then there were the boys: Kit and Richard Madden proudly repped House Stark in sharp suits, while Peter Dinklage and the obscenely-dapper Nikolaj Coster-Waldau showed their support for House Lannister.
Even Westeros’ riff raff got all gussied up for the big event! Osha (Natalia Tena) and Ros (Esme Bianco) both looked stunning.
The evening also served to debut some of the new cast members in season three, like Nathalie Emmanuel, who fans will soon know as Missandei.

I agree that all of the Game of Thrones ladies are truly gorgeous! I have been re-watching the second season before heading in to work at DISH and I almost lost my mind when I found what Gwendolyn looked like in real life, lol. But I can’t wait to see Lena dawn her blond hairstyle one again when the premier airs. I’ll be out of town when that happens, but I don’t have to worry about missing it since I have the DISH Anywhere app. It lets me watch live TV right on my laptop, so I haven’t had to miss a show in months.
