While filming his latest flick, ‘The Rover’, in the land down under, Robert Pattinson caught up with the Sydney Morning Herald to talk about his ‘strange and disturbing’ relationship!
You could easily think that Robert Pattinson is talking about his relationship with Twilight star Kristen Stewart but surprisingly he isn’t! So, then who is he talking about?!
Robert caught up with the Sydney Morning Herald to talk about his upcoming flick, The Rover. He told the SMH, “It’s very odd. There’s something strange and disturbing about the whole relationship.”
Silly Robsten fans! Rob is talking about the relationship between the two characters in his new film, which finished shooting on Saturday, March 16.
Robert Pattinson Has Transformed Since ‘Twilight’
Rob comes quite a way from his role as vampire Edward Cullen that brought him to fame. In The Rover, he plays the role of a character named Rey, who is caught in an uneasy, dangerous alliance with a stranger, Eric.
Not knowing if he could fit the bill for anything other than Edward Cullen, Rob said, “I don’t know if I’m necessarily any good at sculpting a career or anything. But I know what I want to do.”
Rob doesn’t realize his amazing talent for acting but others do, which is what landed him his post-Twilight roles in Bel Ami and Cosmopolis. David Michod, director of The Rover, heard of Pattinson’s talent through the grapevine.
Michod was thrown off by Rob. He was “really smart, and not the sort of pretty boy I was expecting. As soon as it was time to start testing… he was my first choice, by a long way.”
Rob’s self-depricating personality is what started his passion for the role. Rob said, “it was an original script and it was one of those parts where you read it and you think, ‘I’d love to do this, but I know I’m never going to get it.’”
Clearly, Rob is a very talented actor. If only we could let him know that every day!

@Ginger – First, I’m not Mira. Robert is still a work in progress and in this industry actors have a very short shelf life but he has an opportunity to do big things if he works hard on his technique. It was good to see Robert shed his “Edward Cullen” image when he did Remember Me and Cosmopolis. Those two were particularly good because he had to carry the entire movie and it shows he has range and how he defind those characters with clarity and not to mention he was exceptional, brilliant and sexy.
