Walking into Lil Wayne’s hospital room, Nicki Minaj was totally unable to contain her emotions. Nicki was totally “taken aback,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Nicki Minaj Breaks Down Visiting Lil Wayne
“She cried because she didn’t want to see him in the hospital with s**t in his arms and doctors around,” the source says. After a while though, Nicki managed to compose herself and she and Wayne ended up having a nice time together. “But all in all, she had a good visit with him and Wayne seems cool.”
The most precious part of the story is that Nicki wanted to give Weezy a “get better soon” gift, but she had no idea what to bring him! “Nicki didn’t want to show up empty handed,” the source says, so she brought him a measly box of chocolates. It’s the thought that counts!
Nicki and Lil Wayne have been close for years — he signed her to Young Money in 2009 and has been her mentor ever since — so Nicki “just wanted to be there for him.”
