Arguably the wildest, most fun holiday is upon us! On Sunday, Mar. 17, we all become Irish for a day and let loose. Keep reading to find out some of the best St. Patty’s Day parties and how celebs are celebrating and getting amped up for the holiday.

St. Patrick’s Day, the holiday of (responsible) green beer and whiskey-drinking is finally back. And just like always, Mar. 17 promises to be an all-out extravagant celebration.

St. Patrick’s Day: Where The Parties Are

St. Patty’s party central is obviously New York City. The city’s parade is famed and litters the avenues green with joy. It’s an all-day affair, starting at 11 AM at 44th Street and marching up Fifth Avenue for over five hours to 79th Street. Led by New York’s mayor Michael Bloomberg, the parade includes TONS of musical and dance troupes from around the area in tribute to Irish culture.

Just for all you non-Manhattanites, the parade in South Boston is also legendary, and L.A. Live will definitely be popping in Los Angeles.

But the real fun is decking yourself out in green, getting together with a group of friends, indulging in a little Guinness — if you’re of age of course — and enjoying the day in whatever way you choose!

Taylor Swift & More: Celebrities Love St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day might be the great leveler — it’s the day when celebrities are exactly like the rest of us. They love busting out the kelly green and indulging in Irish revelry as much as we do!

Last year plenty of celebs came out to tweet about how they were celebrating. Taylor Swift Instagrammed a shot of a green donut and sweetly commented, “Celebrating St Patrick’s Day the best way I know how. Donuts.”

Ian Somerhalder wrote, “St Patty – let’s party… Need a break to my OWN Irish heritage, cheers family. Cheers.”

Conan O’Brien hilariously tweeted, “Any good will the Irish earn during the year, they squander it all on St. Patrick’s Day.”
