On Mar. 14 we got our latest Twitter denial from Miley. Tweeting to a friend, she gave a whole new explanation for why she’s been without her huge engagement rock, but do you believe her?

Despite everything, Miley Cyrus is still working hard to make everyone believe that nothing is up with her relationship with Liam Hemsworth. Is it the truth, or just another excuse?

Miley Cyrus Gives A New Explanation

On Mar. 14, when Lindsey J. Lee, a Miley backup singer, tweeted, “had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed… one of the little diamonds fell out… I feel naked without it :( so sad!” there was one person who was quick to comment.

Miley responded with vigor: “ugh that’s the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off.” It might be safe to say that Miley’s feeling a little down.

But beneath the classic “media-blows-everything-out-proportion” schtick that we’ve heard a million times was an explanation we hadn’t heard before — Miley hasn’t been wearing her 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring because it’s in the shop getting repaired! Hmm…

Miley Cyrus’ Tweet: Can We Believe Her?

Of course, we have to take Miley’s tweet for what it’s worth — just last week she tweeted that her wedding was definitely still on, which was quickly followed by Liam fleeing to Australia and multiple reports that it was off.

Plus, a source recently told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Miley took her ring off because “she knew that it was going to cause a scene, as much as she says she hates all the talk, she actually loves it because it will get Liam to see these pictures and have him see her more. She is playing games against the media and Liam.”

So what are we supposed to think? There’s a chance that Miley saw her friend’s relevant and tweet and decided to take advantage of the moment, knowing that the media would see everything she was saying. Everything at this point is speculation, though. We’ll have to wait and see which way the cards fall!
