Kristen Stewart probably knew when she signed on to be Bella Swan in the Twilight movies — her life would never be the same. Talking to the Chicago Sun-Times, the actress reveals just how different her life is now.
Kristen Stewart: ‘Bella Didn’t Stick With Me’
Though Kristen says that “Bella didn’t stick with me more than any other character,” she acknowledges that she’s probably in the minority in feeling that way.
“There are people who so genuinely love the Twilight movies and books that they’ve said, ‘Every single time I see you in a movie, you’re still Bella to me.’” Think about it — that’s pretty weird. For the rest of her life, Kristen will only be thought of as a fictional character — a girl who fell in love with a vampire and knew werewolves.

This unique state of things is what led to Kristen receiving so much hate and venom in the days following her cheating scandal with director Ruper Sanders and split from Robert Pattinson. People reacted as if she sullied a sacred relationship — Bella isn’t supposed to cheat on Edward!
Twilight director Bill Condon commented on the problem back during the scandal’s height: “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that.”
Kristen Stewart: How She Deals With Being Bella
Amazingly, Kristen still asserts, “It doesn’t bother me.”
But she also admits that Twilight has caused her to have a chip on her shoulder: “I do think people assume that I’m Bella. I have to prove to them that I can do other things and that she was just a character.”
That has to be the best attitude someone in her position can have — she doesn’t let it bring her down, she lets it motivate her. We’re proud of you, K-Stew!

I don’t think even one of the kids who started in the Twilight movies had any idea that it would become so popular. They all acted a little shell-shocked at the first press intro. They didn’t go into it knowing that their lives would be so changed. They all said the same thing at the various interviews and seemed very overwhelmed by the hordes of screaming fans, etc.
Don’t understand Kristen’s terror of the ppz – if she hasn’t done or said anything wrong there really isn’t anything to worry about. So they take her picture coming and going from her various outings, so what! People will get tired of it all eventually and move on to something more interesting. I’d put up with a little of it for 55 million dollars earned in one year.

The character Bella Swan was unrecognizable in the movies. Probably changed to reflect Kristen Stewart – spoiled, smart a** teenager.

Kristen has done an AMAZING job as Bella Swan. Doesn’t mean she’s stuck forever as Bella though. She’s a super talented actress who can handle challenging roles well, and should never be typecasted. She’s in the beginning of her career and is probably going to play roles that are COMPLETELY different from Bella’s. We will always remember how great she was as Bella Swan and other characters (Snow White, Marylou, Melinda etc), and let her move on and do other things that make her feel good.
