Britney Spears and rumored new boyfriend David Lucado enjoyed an afternoon lunch and tanning session on Mar. 13, leading us to wonder: Just who is this guy Britney is spending time with after ending her engagement to Jason Trawick in January?
1. David Lucado Is A Southerner, Like Britney Spears
David, 27, was born in Virginia before later moving to Atlanta, GA, E! News reports. He’s a recent L.A. transplant. A source tells the news outlet that the man who was first spotted with Britney on Valentine’s Day 2013 is “typical Southern fratty.”
2. David: He’s Nice & Normal
A source tells E! News that Britney’s new beau is humble and down-to-earth, a “normal” and polite guy, but he’s “definitely not meek.” That sounds like a good combo to us!
3. His Career History
David’s worked as a bartender and in insurance, and he currently holds a position at a legal firm in Los Angeles. It’s nice that he’s doing his own thing separate from Britney, and not working in the entertainment industry, too!
4. David’s Romanced Before Britney
A source tells E! News that, prior to dating one of the biggest pop stars in the world, David, dated “pretty, sweet girls.” Aww!
5. Fame Might Have Freaked Him Out
As soon as David was identified back in late February, he quickly deactivated his private Facebook page! Having everyone know your name takes some getting used to, David!
Britney’s Lunch Date With David
Britney was seen strolling around L.A.’s Westlake Village on March 13 with David. The pop legend was all smiles in her sundress as she left Forever Bella tanning salon, and we’re guessing that it wasn’t just her tan causing her to grin ear-to-ear.
A source told People magazine that after leaving the tanning salon, “David drove Britney around and she looked very happy.” He took her to lunch at Cisco’s Mexican restaurant in Camarillo, CA. The source said, ”They were not affectionate during lunch, but Britney seemed very giddy.”
