Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have been rumored to be dating for a while now, and those rumors recently accelerated when Ed was seen leaving Taylor’s hotel room at 4am following the Feb. 20 BRIT Awards. So are the singer-song writers getting it on? Ed speaks in a new interview about what went down that night, and why he feels like a “stud.” How exciting!

So as it turns out, Ed, 22, and Taylor, 23, made sweet, sweet music all night long!

“I did go to her hotel, I did stay there ’til four and I did leave in the same clothes,” Ed tells TVNZ on March 12. “But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing.. I’m a professional.”

Boo! There was no rough and tumble for Ed and Taylor, but I guess we can be happy they were making music — they are so good at that! And really adorably, Ed says that he was so happy with himself when he heard the dating rumors!

“The thing that impressed me with the media is that because they wrote about it, my mates believed it. The fact that people can believe it makes me feel like a bit of a stud, you know? I’ve got to be honest because one of my best friends [Harry Styles] did date her. I’m not that kind of guy. But the fact that people believed it impressed me a little bit.”

Ed is a total gentleman and such a good friend! Even if he and Taylor didn’t get together, he is a catch.
